Research on ecologicultural environment under the background of rural revitalisation

In order to improve the development of rural areas, ecological agriculture has certain advantages because it is a comprehensive and complex type of agricultural industry. As the main force in the implementation of Rural Revitalisation (RurR) and ecological agriculture, farmers’ ecological consciousness plays a crucial role in the final realisation of RurR strategy and the construction of ecological agriculture. This paper conducted a questionnaire survey on 1010 farmers in 8 districts of city A, and studied the ecological knowledge, ecological seriousness and attribution of ecological problems of farmers. Combined with the relevant research results, this paper formulated three strategies to promote the development of efficient ecological agricultural environment: strengthening rural ecological publicity, vigorously developing ecological agriculture, and actively giving play to the guiding role of the government.

Guidelines for revitalization of rural areas based on landscape studies

The objective of the article is to present the possibility of using landscape studies in the development of guidelines for the revitalization of rural areas. Performing detailed analyses of the cultural and aesthetic values of the landscape has become the basis for formulating the directions for the development of the rural areas located in the vicinity of the town of Drawsko Pomorskie, that previously were part of state collective farms. Landscape studies included the identification and characterization of natural elements and cultural and aesthetic values of the area, based on the landscape audit methodology and commonly applied principles of valorization of cultural landscape. The analyses allowed us to identify areas that, due to a significant decline in the value of the landscape, caused mainly by the location of objects related to the former state farms, require the analysis of the legitimacy of their further protection within the “Pojezierze Drawskie” [hereinafter “Drawsko Lakeland”] Protected Landscape Area. As a result, it was possible to formulate new guidelines for the revitalization of the studied area.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie możliwości wykorzystania studiów krajobrazowych w opracowaniu wytycznych do rewitalizacji obszarów wiejskich. Wykonanie szczegółowych analiz wartości kulturowo-estetycznych krajobrazu stało się podstawą dla sformułowania kierunku rozwoju popegeerowskich obszarów wiejskich zlokalizowanych w sąsiedztwie miasta Drawsko Pomorskie. Studia krajobrazowe objęły zidentyfikowanie i scharakteryzowanie elementów przyrodniczych i walorów kulturowo-estetycznych terenu na podstawie metodyki audytu krajobrazowego oraz powszechnie stosowanych zasad waloryzacji krajobrazu kulturowego. Przeprowadzone analizy pozwoliły na wskazanie obszarów, które ze względu na znaczny spadek wartości krajobrazu, spowodowany głównie usytuowaniem na ich terenie obiektów związanych z działalnością byłego PGR, wymagają analizy zasadności ich dalszej ochrony w ramach Obszaru Chronionego Krajobrazu „Pojezierze Drawskie”. W rezultacie możliwe było sformułowanie nowych wytycznych dla rewitalizacji badanego terenu.

Creating a friendly living environment that would ensure adequate conditions for human sustenance has accompanied mankind since the beginning. Spatial planning has to a greater or smaller extent been the underlying element in this respect. In recent years we have seen increasing chaos in our surrounding space, particularly in rural areas. Most of the recent construction projects in rural regions have little to do with the hitherto existing architecture or are completely divergent from it. This is primarily due to lack of sufficient knowledge and study of the cultural heritage and resources offered by individual villages. This article, on the example of the village of Polanowice, Byczyna Municipality, shows the great potential of the village’s cultural resources including both its well-preserved spatial layout as well as the buildings making up the village space itself. What deserves particular attention is the complex of buildings constructed in the first decades of the 20th century which exemplify the architecture of the modernist era. Along with the remaining buildings it can be a perfect starting point for conducting a complete revitalization of the village. Such activities will allow for the preservation of past generations’ legacy and, at the same time, ensure sustainable development possibilities as well as provide additional sources of income for village residents.

Budowanie przestrzeni przyjaznej i zapewniającej odpowiednie warunki życia towarzyszyło człowiekowi od zarania dziejów. U podstawy wszelkich działań w tym zakresie, w mniejszym lub większym stopniu, pojawiało się planowanie przestrzenne. W ostatnich latach obserwujemy narastanie coraz większego chaosu w otaczającej nas przestrzeni, szczególnie dotyczy to obszarów wiejskich. Nowe obiekty realizowane na terenach wsi mają mały związek z istniejącą architekturą lub zupełnie od niej odbiegają. Wiąże się to z brakiem dostatecznego rozpoznania zasobów kulturowych jakie mają poszczególne miejscowości. W niniejszym artykule, na przykładzie wsi Polanowice, gmina Byczyna, pokazano duży potencjał jaki tkwi w jej zasobach kulturowych, obejmujący zarówno zachowany układ przestrzenny, jak i obiekty budowlane tę przestrzeń wypełniające. Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje zespół budynków powstałych w pierwszych dekadach XX wieku, reprezentujący architekturę doby modernizmu. Wraz z pozostałą zabudową może stanowić doskonały punkt wyjścia do przeprowadzenia pełnej rewitalizacji miejscowości. Taki kierunek działania pozwoli na zachowanie dorobku poprzednich pokoleń, a jednocześnie da możliwości prawidłowego rozwoju i dodatkowe źródło dochodu dla jej mieszkańców.
