The availability of digital infrastructures and the fast-paced development of accompanying revolutionary technologies have triggered an unprecedented reliance on Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques both in theory and practice. Within the AI domain, Machine Learning (ML) techniques stand out as essential facilitator largely enabling machines to possess human-like cognitive and decision making capabilities. This paper provides a focused review of the literature addressing applications of emerging ML toolsto solve various Project Scheduling Problems (PSPs). In particular, it employs bibliometric and network analysis tools along with a systematic literature review to analyze a pool of 104 papers published between 1985 and August 2021. The conducted analysis unveiled the top contributing authors, the most influential papers as well as the existing research tendencies and thematic research topics within this field of study. A noticeable growth in the number of relevant studies is seen recently with a steady increase as of the year 2018. Most of the studies adopted Artificial Neural Networks, Bayesian Network and Reinforcement Learning techniques to tackle PSPs under a stochastic environment, where these techniques are frequently hybridized with classical metaheuristics. The majority of works (57%) addressed basic Resource Constrained PSPs and only 15% are devoted to the project portfolio management problem. Furthermore, this study clearly indicates that the application of AI techniques to efficiently handle PSPs is still in its infancy stage bringing out the need for further research in this area. This work also identifies current research gaps and highlights a multitude of promising avenues for future research.

This study analyses key successful factors (KSFs) affecting health supply chains using a novel ISM-MICMAC methodology. Initially, KSFs were collected from past articles, which were later analyzed through the ISM-MICMAC methodology. Healthcare technologies (HCTs) are regarded as innovative and fastest-growing technologies and have seen advancement in the last few decades. Successful and sustainable delivery of health services is only possible through an effective supply chain and logistics network. However, HCTs confront pressure in healthcare supply chains due to different issues. Therefore, it is essential to evaluate KSFs affecting the successful delivery of HCTs supply chains. After obtaining data from experts, interpretive structural modeling (ISM) results indicated that initial capital, top management commitment, training & experience, new technology and information, information quality, and strategic partnership with suppliers are the most crucial KSFs HCTs supply chain in the Pakistani context. Furthermore, MICMAC analysis categorized KSFs with the help of their driving and dependence power. These results support health strategists and policymakers to understand the severity of the identified top five KSFs and act as a moderator to take care of these KSFs, which would ultimately contribute to the successful delivery of the health care supply chain and improvement of critical health services. This study's results would also be helpful for the supply chain managers of the manufacturing industry in the Pakistani context. This research is one of the initial studies to precisely explore KSFs affecting health supply chains using a novel ISM-MICMAC and categorize KSFs with the help of their driving and dependence power by applying MICMAC analysis in the Pakistani SCM context.

Biofilm processes are increasingly being recognized for the removal of organics and nutrients in domestic wastewater treatment. One system that is often used is the Fixed-Bed Reactor (FBR). This review aimed to analyze wastewater treatment using anoxic-aerobic FBR system with various supporting media. The method used was the descriptive analysis of articles obtained from Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and Springer. The results of the review showed that wastewater treatment with a growth system is able to remove organics and nutrients quite high. The types of polymers used as supporting media for attaching biofilms consisted of PET, PS, HDPE, and LDPE. However, when viewed from the removal efficiency, the supporting media with polymers is superior to PET compared to other types. This is because PET has hydrophobic physicochemical properties which have good adhesion in the initial attachment of microorganisms. In addition, this type of PS polymer also has fairly high organic and nutrient removal efficiency, similarly to other types of polymers such as HDPE, and LDPE.

Content available Sea ice mechanics
EN
Earth System Models (ESM), simulating sea ice and its interaction with the atmosphere and open ocean, require reliable physical, chemical, and biological input from measurements. There is limited data available from the Marginal Ice Zone of the Antarctic, where sea ice growth mechanisms differ from the Arctic. The main objective of this study is to review existing work related to Antarctic sea ice and highlight gaps in the available literature. The mechanical properties of sea ice and the numerical modeling of sea ice across all scales are covered. We summarize the genesis, physical mechanics, static and dynamic properties, strength, toughness, and transport of young sea ice as well as medium to large scale observation. On the computational mechanics side large- and small-scale modeling, ocean-sea ice and atmosphere-sea ice models, as well as sea ice rheology models, sea ice fracture mechanics, and bio-geo-chemical interaction processes are captured. The synergy between the physical and computational mechanics brings to light missing information from both fields. Plain language summary (PLS) Sea ice determines the interaction of the ocean with the atmosphere in both the southern and northern hemispheres. Its formation and annual development is subject to mechanical interaction with ocean currents and winds. This review covers the mechanics of sea ice in the Antarctic and its relation to the Arctic covering experiment and modelling. Impact on the climate is discussed.

Content available Phosphate Conversion Coating - A Short Review
EN
Phosphating is the process of depositing, by conversion, a layer of insoluble phosphate compounds, on the metal’s surface. Although phosphate coatings have been studied since the early nineteenth century, they are not only still being studied, but are an area of interest due to their many applications. The advantages of these types of coatings are well known, such as the low cost of the deposition process, the improvement of corrosion resistance properties, and the improvement of wear resistance and adhesion of further deposited layers such as paint. All this, leads to studies on the constant improvement of the properties of the phosphate coating, by modifying the parameters of the phosphating process, as well as by modifying/replacing the substances used in the phosphating solutions with “environmentally friendly” solutions. Also due to these advantages, several researchers are studying the possibility of using phosphate coatings in fields such as civil engineering or medicine (biomaterials coatings). This paper aims to present some essential aspects of phosphating and to bring to the fore the latest research on “eco-friendly” phosphating solutions and the possibility of using the phosphating process in other fields, such as the medical field. Also, the paper aims to discuss the possibility of eliminating/reducing the harmful effect that the use of phosphating has on the environment.

Multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) is one of the most popular problems handled by researchers in the literature. Since the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (IVIFS) theory generates as realistic as possible evaluation of linguistic expressions, researchers have been expanding traditional MCDM methods to the IVIF environment, especially in the last decade. This study provides a literature review of the relevant articles from several academic databases on applications of IVIF-MCDM methods. The review of 131 publications addresses specific research questions. To understand the research publication trend, this review offers a visual analysis that examines the studies from different perspectives, such as application areas, IVIF-MCDM methods, citations, most relevant journals, and validation methods. One of the most remarkable results of the literature review is that most publications in this field are published in SCIE indexed journals. Another noteworthy issue is that China is the country that produces the most articles in this field. In addition, English journals are mostly selected for the publication of articles. While it is seen that the investment selection problem is chosen mostly as the application area, the TOPSIS method is preferred mostly in the applications. This study stands out as the most comprehensive one that compiles publications containing extended traditional MCDM methods for IVIF sets. This review will be an important reference for future researchers and decision-makers involved in advancing MCDM methods considering vagueness and ambiguity.
