The work is an analysis of the literature and presents also the result of questionnaire research. In the questionnaire survey, carried out on the students of the Department of Biology and Agriculture, Rzeszow University, their interpretation of space as a limited resource was determined and the answers to questions about the change of place of residence and the influence of the transfer from the village to the city and vice versa on the slowing down of the transformation of environmental resources were noted. Noticing the changes in the surrounding space by students and their sense of opportunity and willingness to influence them were also checked. The question was also asked, „Should we try to slow down the transformation of the natural space“ and „why do we do it?“ A separate issue included questions on the social participation of respondents in solving socio-economic and environmental problems in their environment.
