Twenty years of functioning of the Women's Affairs Council in the Ministry of National Defense in the years 1999-2019

The article summarizes 20 years of operation of the Women's Affairs Council in the Ministry of National Defense. The author explains the basics of the functioning of this body, its tasks, and competences. What is more, she presents subsequent soldiers, who acted as the chairwomen of the Council in individual years. The publication also presents the most important initiatives and activities in which the Council has been involved over the last two decades.

Artykuł podsumowuje 20 lat funkcjonowania Rady ds. Kobiet w resorcie obrony narodowej. Autor przybliża podstawy funkcjonowania tego organu, jego zadania oraz kompetencje. Co więcej, dokonuje prezentacji kolejnych żołnierzy, pełniących funkcję przewodniczącej w poszczególnych latach działania Rady. W publikacji dokonano również przybliżenia najważniejszych inicjatyw i działań, w które angażowała się Rada na przestrzeni ostatnich dwóch dekad.

Zmiany w logistyce spowodowały konieczność wprowadzenia nowoczesnych systemów informatycznych. Przyjętym rozwiązaniem jest Zintegrowany Wieloszczeblowy System Informatyczny Resortu Obrony Narodowej (ZWSI RON). Artykuł prezentuje jego genezę, charakteryzuje proces wdrażania i definiuje warunki funkcjonalno – organizacyjne niezbędne do jego implementacji. Wprowadzenie tego systemu we wszystkich strukturach logistycznych zagwarantuje sprawną realizację przebiegu procesu łańcucha dostaw na miarę profesjonalnej armii.

The changes in the area of military logistics caused the necessity of implementation the information technologies. In the Polish Army Forces the system is named as ZWSI RO!. This paper presents the genesis, implementation process and defines the basic requirements needed to setting up the system. The implementation of ZWSI RO! improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the military supply chains.

Changes that took place in the country (Poland) after 1989 led to beneficial results in many areas of social life. One such area is the department of national defence. However to answer the question about their nature, direction and size the studies are needed. For this reason, the department of national defence is the subject of many studies, surveys and case studies, including those focusing on innovation management. The purpose of the article was to show how the results of research work are used. Particular attention was paid to formulate proposals that would give the answer on how to make effective use of scientific potential, which is administered by the department of national defence. A significant part of the proposals were formulated on the basis of ongoing research. In this paper the statistics were used for the purpose, replacing cumbersome and extensive empirical research.

On March 20th, 2003 falls 120th anniversary of signing the Paris Convention that started the international co-operation in industrial property protection. Moreover, the act of such a high rank described the subject matter of protection, distinguishing common elements. The convention was a step to unify law. For the first time in history, inventions, utility and industrial patters and trademarks could be protected not only in the country where they came up. Due to the Convention’s articles, the military and civilian personnel can freely submit their inventions in their country and outside it. They receive protection of their developments for a certain amount of time as long as they pay fees. The inventors are authorised to decide on their rights to and from a patent in case of a sale, cession or exchange. Licence contracts started to play a significant role as they opened a legal road to new technologies used by the national defence sector.
