5G is a fifth-generation wireless technology that enables extremely fast data transfers and massive connection capacity. Existing Mobile health technology requires more reliable connection power and data transfer rates. The purpose of this research is to design, analyse, and compare the performance of a bio-inspired lotus-shaped microstrip patch antenna array with two to three radiating elements. The proposed antenna utilizes proximity coupled indirect microstrip transmission line feeding technique operating in the 24 GHz-30 GHz frequency band. The results indicate that performance continues to improve as the number of radiating elements increases. Moreover, each radiating element is loaded with complementary and non-complementary split-ring resonators (SRRs). The performance of the proposed microstrip antenna array is then analysed and compared with and without split-ring resonators. The findings validate that the proposed bio-inspired metamaterial-based microstrip patch array antenna is more reliable and performs better than an antenna without SRRs.

The aim of this publication is to design a procedure for the synthesis of an IDT (interdigital transducer) with diluted electrodes. The paper deals with the surface acoustic waves (SAW) and the theory of synthesis of the asymmetrical delay line with the interdigital transducer with diluted electrodes. The authors developed a theory, design, and implementation of the proposed design. They also measured signals. The authors analysed acoustoelectronic components with SAW: PLF 13, PLR 40, delay line with PAV 44 PLO. The presented applications have a potential practical use.

The spectral properties of reflective mirrors based on a classic design of two-dimensional subwavelength photonic crystal are investigated numerically in the visible wavelength range. These reflectors are meant to be made of silica and silicon nitride. A novel numerical strategy is proposed in order to determine the optimal value of the grating fill factor yielding an efficient level of reflectance through the maximal range of wavelengths.

Traditional electro-optic modulators are not optimized for bandpass applications such as radio-on-fiber delivery systems due to their limited electro-optic response. This paper presents a resonant electrode structure that can be employed in optical modulator designs to enhance the electro-optic response of the modulator over a narrow frequency band, and improve the performance of optical radio systems. A simple model of the structure is developed, and experimental results validating the model and illustrating the effectiveness of the structure are presented.

Surface acoustic wave resonators (SAW) on ST cut quartz for frequences 423.22 MHz and 433.92 MHz were designed, fabricated and measured. The resonators can operate in a two port or one port configurations and can be used in different types of alarms. The lift-off photolitographic technology, used for fabrication of the resonators, is described, and the measured parameters of the resonators are presented.
