Związek między mechaniką kwantową a metrologią stworzył nowy dział metrologii - metrologię kwantową. Obejmuje ona zarówno zagadnienia teoretyczne, jak i niepewność pomiaru według zasady Heisenberga oraz urządzenia techniczne: kwantowe wzorce i przyrządy pomiarowe o największej czułości. W artykule opisano stosowane wzorce kwantowe - napięcia, oporu elektrycznego oraz zegar atomowy.

The relationship between the quantum mechanics and the metrology created the new division of the metrology - the quantum metrology. The quantum metrology embraces such theoretical problems, as the uncertainty of the measurement according to the Heisenbergs Uncertainty Principle, and technical devices: quantum standards and measuring instruments about the extreme sensitivity. In the article one described quantum standards: the standard of voltage, the standard of the electrical resistance and the atomic clock.
