An attempt to determine the resistance of microorganisms from triazine-contaminated soils to different herbicide groups

In the present study an attempt was taken up to determine the resistance of microorganisms living in the soil exposed to forty-year-long chemical protection treatments to pesticides. The carried out analyses allowed determination of considerable changes in microflora composition taking place during a long-term application of herbicides on soils. The presence of herbicide also induces the appearance of a larger amount of resistant microorganisms, although to a different extent for particular taxonomic and physiological groups of microorganisms. The scale of these changes also depends on the type of herbicide being a cause of the changes. The resistance developing in the microflora of soils exposed to a long-term effect of pesticide refers in the extreme to this particular preparation that induces it. Nevertheless, as clearly showed by the obtained results, each of the triazine preparations used over a multi-annual period also induces the appearance of microorganisms resistant to the presence of other herbicides of this group, although they are fewer than those resistant to the compound used to bring selective pressure. Also microorganisms resistant to herbicides of a different structure appear in soil, but to a lesser degree.

Stwierdzono znaczne zmiany w składzie mikroflory, zachodzące podczas długotrwałej aplikacji herbicyd6w do gleby. Długotrwały kontakt herbicydu w podłożu powoduje też pojawianie się większej ilości mikroorganizmów odpornych, jakkolwiek w stopniu niejednakowym dla poszczególnych taksonomicznych i fizjologicznych grup mikroorganizmów. Jest to zależne najczęściej od rodzaju herbicydu, będącego przyczyną wspomnianych zmian. Jak wyraźnie wykazują otrzymane wyniki, każdy z używanych przez wielolecie preparatów triazynowych wywołuje również pojawianie się mikroorganizmów odpornych na obecność innych herbicydów z tej grupy, jakkolwiek jest ich mniej niż odpornych na związek użyty do wywarcia nacisku selekcyjnego. W znacznie mniejszym zakresie w glebie pojawiają się także mikroorganizmy odporne na herbicydy o odmiennej budowie.
