Purpose: The article presents a comparative analysis of the web application clients performance. Design/methodology/approach: A strategy of comparing the performance of web application clients using the JavaScript programming language was proposed. Findings: The metrics used to measure the performance of web application clients were presented. Research limitations/implications: Techniques affecting the optimal work of web application clients, which can be used regardless of the technology applied were described. Originality/value: Comparison of the performance of frameworks using the JavaScript programming language. The necessary steps during the process of testing the performance of web applications were proposed and measures relevant to the test were listed. The article is dedicated to the wide spectrum of computer system users.

W artykule omówiono charakterystyki biopaliw stosowanych w środkach transportu wraz z krótkim opisem technologii ich otrzymywania. Przedstawiono preferowane kierunki rozwoju tych technologii z uwzględnieniem innych surowców, w tym substancji odpadowych i ditlenku węgla. Scharakteryzowano procesy WtL oraz procesy xtL. Przedstawiono cele i preferowane technologie otrzymywania biopaliw określone w Europejskiej Strategicznej Agendzie Badawczej oraz Mapie Drogowej Biopaliw dla Transportu, opracowanej przez Międzynarodową Agencję Energii.

The paper discusses the characteristics of biofuels used in transport, along with concise description of production technology thereof. Preferable direction of development for those technologies is presented, taking into consideration also other resources, including waste substances and carbon dioxide. WtL and xTL processes are characterised. The objectives and preferred technologies of biofuel production are outlined, as defined by European Strategic Research Agenda and Technology Roadmap - Biofuels for Transport, developed by International Energy Agency.

Partnerzy zagraniczni reprezentują znane uniwersytety techniczne, natomiast grono partnerów krajowych obejmuje wybrane techniczne uczelnie akademickie, instytuty branżowe oraz regionalne jednostki gospodarcze.

The information concerning the Network of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum Institutions of University and Economics Sector established and coordinated by AGH-UST is presented in the article. Network joined the activity of participants of European Network of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum Universities and Polish partners. Foreign partners are representatives of well known technical universities, whereas Polish partners are originated both from chosen universities then research branch institutes as well as from regional economic institutions.
