The article states that one of the most pressing educational problems of our time is the organization of educational processes in the building of a comprehensive school, namely the combination of various functions that ensure the intellectual development of schoolchildren. One of the current trends is the cooperation of the premises of scientific and technical profile with other teaching functions of the school. The studied examples of the American, European and Oriental experience show that there are several approaches to integrating specialized facilities in a general educational institution.

This paper presents the process of quantitative assessment of selected factors influencing the probability of grounding. All grounding accidents that occurred during one year (2013) in the Baltic Sea area were analysed. The research area was chosen because of very high traffic intensity and a large number of narrow passages that make it difficult for navigation. The research period was limited by the latest data reported by HELCOM up to the year 2013. The Method of Grounding Probability Coefficient (GPC) calculation is proposed to reach the assumed goal. Either internal factors such as the ships size and ship type or external factors such as time of day, wind force and season were taken into account. As a result the values of coefficients describing the impact of various factors on the probability are evaluated. This coefficients, taking into consideration coupling effect, can be used in future in the navigational safety simulation models based on the assumed value of accident probability.

W referacie przedstawiono znaczenie przemysłu stalowego dla gospodarki narodowej. Wskazano na potrzebę koordynacji działań mających na celu realizację zrównoważonego rozwoju tego przemysłu. Jedną z możliwości takiej koordynacji daje Polska Platforma Technologiczna Stali, która zrzesza znaczną część sektora zarówno od strony produkcyjnej jak i badawczej. Przedstawiono stan realizacji Strategicznego Programu Badań Polskiej Platformy Technologicznej Stali (SPB PPTS) na koniec grudnia 2009 roku. Jako szczególny przypadek realizacji SPB PPTS (Obszar Badawczy 2; Kierunek Badawczy 2-3; Problemy Badawcze 2.3.1, 2.3.2, 2.3.3, 2.3.4) omówiono realizowany przez Instytut Metalurgii Żelaza oraz Akademię Górniczo-Hutniczą, Politechnikę Częstochowską, Politechnikę Śląską i Politechnikę Warszawską projekt pt.: "Opracowanie podstaw przemysłowych technologii kształtowania struktury i właściwości wyrobów z metali i stopów z wykorzystaniem symulacji fizycznej i numerycznej". Omówiono udział PPTS w pracach Europejskiej Platformy Technologicznej Stali (ESTEP) w pracach: Mirror Group, Working Group 1 "Profit through Innovation", Working Group 5 "People". Przedstawiono działania Instytutu jako koordynatora PPTS, zmierzające do aktualizacji Strategicznego Programu Badań PPTS w 2012 roku poprzez realizację projektu "FORESTAL 2030. Aktualizacja Strategicznego Programu Badań Polskiej Platformy Technologicznej Stali z wykorzystaniem metody foresight".

The significance of the steel sector for national economy was presented. The need for co-ordination of activities of sustainable development of this sector was pointed out. Polish Steel Technology Platform (PPTS), which comprises significant part of the sector in both production and scientific areas, is one of possible way to coordinate this work. Progress of execution of Strategic Research Agenda of PPTS at the end of 2009 was presented. As specific case of Stra­tegic Research Agenda of PPTS (Research Area 2; Research Directions 2-3; Research Problems 2.3.1,2.3.2, 2.3.3, 2.3.4) the project "Development of basis of industrial technologies for forming the structure and properties of the metal and alloy products with using the physical and numerical simulation methods" executed by Instytut Metalurgii Zelaza jointly with Akademia Gorniczo-Hutnicza, Politechnika Czestochowska, Politechnika Slqska and Politechnika War-szawska was discussed. Participation of PPTS in European Steel Technology Platform (ESTEP) through taking part in Mirror Group, Working Group 1 "Profit through Innovation" and Working Group 5 "People" was described. Activi­ties of Instytut Metalurgii Zelaza as PPTS coordinator aimed at updating the Strategic Research Agenda of PPTS in the year 2012 through realization of the project "FORESTAL 2030. Updating of Strategic Research Agenda of PPTS with using foresight method" was presented.
