W pracy pokazano zastosowanie teorii odnowy do wyznaczania optymalnego czasu eksploatacji środków transportu. Rozwiązanie tego typu oparto na programowaniu dynamicznym. Przedstawiono przykład obliczeń dla samochodu marki MAN TGS 18.400.

The use of the regeneration theory to determine the optimal operating time of means of transport is shown in the paper. The solution of this problem is based on dynamic programming. An example of calculations for MAN TGS 18.400.

MCMC setups are one of the best known methods for conducting computer simulations useful in such areas as statistics, physics, biology, etc. However, to obtain appropriate solutions, the additional convergence diagnosis must be applied for Markov Chain trajectory generated by the algorithm. We present the method for dealing with this problem based on features of so called "secondary" chain (the chain with specially selected state space). The secondary chain is created from the initial chain by picking only some observations connected with atoms or renewal sets. In this paper we focus on finding the moment when the simulated chain is close enough to the stationary distribution of the Markov chain. The discussed method has some appealing properties, like high degree of diagnosis automation. Apart from theoretical lemmas and a more heuristic approach, the examples of application are also provided.

Exact knowledge of the reliability characteristics as the time dependent unavailability coefficient for example, under influence of different ageing processes as well as under different failure types is very useful to the practitioners who have to find the optimal maintenance policy for their equipment. In this paper found models and their solutions have potential to face the optimisation task under the conflicting issues of safety and economics. Most of the solved models take into account ageing processes. An increasing tendency lately exists to include aging effects into the risk assessment models to evaluate its contribution. We developed different renewal models taking into account different ageing distributions of failures (Weibull, Erlang, log-normal): models with negligible renewal time, models with periodical preventive maintenance, alternating renewal process with lognormal distribution of failure time, and with two types of failures.

Content available remote Strong limit theorems for general renewal processes
EN
An approach is discussed to derive strong limit theorems for general renewal processes from the corresponding asymptotics of the underlying renewal sequence. Neither independence nor stationarity of increments is required. In certain situations, just the dualities between the renewal processes and their defining sequencesin combination with some regularity conditions on the normalizing constants are sufficient for the proofs. There are other cases, however, in which the duality argumentsdo not apply, and where other techniques have to be developed. Finally, there are also examples, in which an inversion of the limit theorems under consideration cannot work at all.
