The basic target of contemporary Power Industry is effective using of energetic resources, supplied by renewable sources. No side effects and environment pollution of energy generated from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides and geothermal heat - have caused that the sector of renewable electricity develops very quickly, especially being supported by modern technologies. In relation to that, the Department of Electrical Power Engineering at Warsaw Polytechnics has prepared the plan of building the autonomic, hybrid, electro-energetic micro-system that uses renewable energy to power installations based on direct current network. In connection with building the micro grid it is necessary to discuss many aspects, including normative requirements. It is extremely important to analyze which norms of electric installations and transmissions network apply to direct current structures as our concept is based on this type of system. It is possible to distinguish three basic categories of norms that are used in designing process. The first one includes general issues regarding electrical installations in buildings, the second concentrates on an energy transport, also containing normative regulations about electric power transmission and electricity distribution networks. The third category focuses on a selection of cables and electromagnetic compatibility of their arrangement.
