In this publication a novel readily removable and repositionable pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) composition, suitable particularly for thin adhesive film applications to the surface of paper or other laminar backing materials, for easy application and removal to a variety of substrate surfaces, has been studied and discussed. In the present novel repositionable PSA composition, the desired peel adhesion or adhesive bonding strength was selectively controlled. The removal phenomenon is the effect of the type and amount of polar groups in the acrylic polymer chain, the kind and the concentration of the crosslinking agent, the type and the content of diverse groups of modifiers.
