W pierwszej części opracowania uwaga skupia się wokół koncepcji rozwoju cechujących gospodarki znajdujące się w początkowych fazach procesu uprzemysłowienia. W następnej autor próbuje się dokonać identyfikacji uporządkowania determinant rozwoju cechujących gospodarki zaawansowane w procesie uprzemysłowienia, określane jako wysoko rozwinięte.

Economic development is treated as the main economic problem due to its implications for the shaping of material conditions of life. The concepts of development determinants result from the basic assumptions of economic theories, actual problems of different countries or areas and exposed inadequacy of successive proposals of theory and resulting practice. From simple concepts of amount and productivity of the applied production factors and interpretation of mechanisms of structural changes effects through the concepts of the influence of properties of the system of functioning of sectors and economies they evolved towards the proposals accounting for multiplicity and diversity of determinants of other than economic nature. We may assume that in the future the analyses and interpretation of such determinants will be based on an interdisciplinary approach requiring that qualitative features of economic, social and political conditions be taken into account for different economies and areas.
