Research to estimate energy efficiency of a ventilation and air conditioning heat pump system inside a production premise with ventilation air recovery

The research provides a thermodynamic analysis of the theoretical model of a ventilation and air conditioning heat pump system with the ventilation air cold energy recovery depending on outside air parameters, the recovery efficiency and characteristics of a premise. A confectionery production workshop was taken as a prototype where technological conditions (temperature and humidity) must be maintained during the warm season. Calculations using the method of successive approximations to estimate air parameters at system’s nodal points were conducted. It allowed to determine theoretical refrigeration efficiency of the studied system and proved advantages of heat recuperation for smaller energy consumption. The model can be applied for design of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units which work as a heat pump. The studied system has the highest energy efficiency in the area of relatively low environment temperatures and relative humidity which is suitable for countries with temperate continental climates characterized by low relative humidity.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analizy wpływu wycieku ziębnika na efektywność ziębniczą samochodowych urządzeń klimatyzacyjnych. Za miarę takiego wpływu przyjęto zmianę wydajności chłodniczej, współczynnika COP oraz wartości dodatkowego zużycia paliwa dla instalacji klimatyzacji o poziomie wycieku w zakresie 0-40%.

Paper discussed the results of the analysis of the impact of refrigerant leakage on energy efficiency of a mobile air conditioning system. As a measure of such an effect, it was adopted the change of cooling capacity, COP, and the additional fuel consumption for the air conditioning system with the level of leakage in the range of 0-40%.

Na polskim rynku można kupić różnego rodzaju systemy klimatyzacyjne. Firmy chłodnicze prześcigają się oferując coraz to nowsze, sprawniejsze i bardziej ekonomiczne klimatyzacje. Chociażby tradycyjne freonowe klimatyzatory typu Split, fan-coile, w których agregaty wody lodowej wytwarzają czynnik chłodniczy, czy pompy ciepła z dolnym źródłem. W 2007 roku inż. Tomasz Dąbrowski, absolwent Akademii Techniczno-Rolniczej w Bydgoszczy, zgłosił w Urzędzie Patentowym RP opracowany przez siebie nowy system ekologicznej klimatyzacji, którego głównym czynnikiem chłodniczym są wody gruntowe, czyli naturalne źródło energii.

Various types of air-conditioning systems are available in Poland. Firms compete by offering ever more modern, effective and economical air-conditioners, whether the traditional freon-based split-type devices, fan-coils where ice-water units produce a refrigerant, or heat pumps with lower heat source. In 2007 Tomasz Dąbrowski, an engineering graduate of the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz, submitted to the Polish Patent office his invention of a new environmentally friendly system of air-conditioning where the main refrigerant is ground water, thus providing a natural energy source.
