Paper presents some results of investigations of the nitrous oxide reduction efficiency in the atmosphere produced by combustion of methane as a reburning fuel in temperature range 750-950°C. Experiments were carried out at atmospheric pressure in a quartz tube reactor placed horizontally in an electric furnace. Mixtures of N2O/N2/O2/CH4, N2O/N2/O2/CO2/CH4, and N2O/N2/O2/CO/CH4 of various fractions of reactants were supplied continuously into the reactor, and after leaving its second end cooled and passed by FTIR spectrometer Awatar 350 for measurement of N2O concentration. These measurements were also checked using NDIR spectrometer. The temperature was measured along the reactor axis with a thermocouple fitted inside. Based on the experiments and modelling of one-dimensional flow reactor, the main reactions of N2O reduction and their kinetics data were determined.
