The purpose of rooms used for years can change. This often requires appropriate adaptation of the industrial floor as well. However, it may turn out that during the execution work the faults appear that need to be quickly remedied. The described case concerns the modification of the industrial floor adaptation method in order to obtain the best effect, while ensuring the proper effectiveness and durability of the proposed solution.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań hydraulicznych spoiw drogowych o właściwościach hydrofobowych. Wyniki badań tych spoiw porównano z wynikami badań „zwykłych” hydraulicznych spoiw drogowych, tj. bez dodatkowych właściwości hydrofobowych. Badania porównawcze wykazały, że hydrauliczne spoiwa drogowe o właściwościach hydrofobowych bardzo dobrze zabezpieczają konstrukcję przed wilgocią, w porównaniu do zwykłych hydraulicznych spoiw drogowych.

The article presents selected results of the tests of hydrophobic hydraulic road binders and discusses the scope and recommendations for its use. The presented results of the tests of hydrophobic hydraulic road binders confi rm their very good hydrophobic properties. Such properties of binders are especially recommended for the construction of roads and motorways running in agricultural areas, in the vicinity of chemical plants, sewage treatment plants and landfills.

The author presents the most important features of ETICS systems, and then he analyzes the implementation of such ETISC insulation elements as joints, expansion lines and cladding.

Inside the fortifications in Kożuchów there is a group of historic buildings situated in the 13th century urban layout. These buildings require a lot of attention: renovation, facade restoration, modernization, extension, superstructure. The article presents an exemplary assessment of the technical condition of an 18th century tenement house located within a downtown complex included in revitalization plans.

2 marca 2021 r. Minister Infrastruktury zarekomendował do dobrowolnego stosowania wzorce i standardy dotyczące drogowych obiektów inżynierskich, tj.: mostów, wiaduktów, estakad, tuneli, przepustów i konstrukcji oporowych. Dokumenty te stanowią źródło aktualnej wiedzy naukowej i technicznej w obszarze mostownictwa i są udostępnione bezpłatnie w Biuletynie Informacji Publicznej Ministerstwa Infrastruktury. Dotychczas Minister Infrastruktury zarekomendował do stosowania 14 wytycznych mostowych.

On March 2, 2021, the Minister of Infrastructure recommended for voluntary use patterns and standards for road engineering structures, i.e. bridges, viaducts, flyovers, tunnels, culverts and retaining structures. These documents are a source of current scientific and technical knowledge in the field of bridge engineering and are available free of charge in the Public Information Bulletin of the Ministry of Infrastructure. So far, the Minister of Infrastructure has recommended 14 bridge guidelines for application.

It may turn out, however, that during the execution works there will be errors that need to be quickly corrected. The described case concerns modification of the method of adaptation of industrial flooring in order to obtain the best possible effect, while ensuring proper effectiveness and durability of the proposed solution.

This article presents the conditions of creating a system for implementing recommendations from evaluation studies which were conducted within the cohesion policy in Poland. The purpose of this analysis was to identify main problems and barriers related to the transformation of evaluation studies into practical recommendations, and to identify factors affecting the adoption and implementation of recommendations by recipients and stakeholders of evaluation. Conclusions were based on the desk research of such documents as: guidelines and procedures for the implementation of evaluation, evaluation and meta-evaluation reports, recommendation and implementation tables. The main barriers and factors favouring the transfer of knowledge from evaluation research to management practices in public administration and local governments were pointed out. The most common restrictions on use of evaluation results include: weak participation of stakeholders in the process of study planning; inconsistency between the subject of evaluation and the scope and content of recommendations; low level of knowledge of the nature and objectives of evaluation among decision-makers; lack of feedback regarding the implementation of recommendations for evaluators. The article gives reasons for the relationship among such features of the evaluation process as: openness, participation and communication skills, quality of recommendations. Evaluation studies and their social significance were shown from the perspective of dividing Michael Burawoy's sociological work into policy and public sociology.

The aim of the article is to identify future challenges related to the implementation and use of new technologies in the didactic process in institutions for security and defense studies. The author also presents expert recommendations formulated on the basis of their current experience and forecasted achievements in science and technology. Taking into account these recommendations may contribute to more effective management of the quality of education, including the introduction of changes, the way of designing learning and teaching processes. The article uses a critical literature review and qualitative research based on expert interviews and analysis of respondents' statements.

The standard ISO 6336 for the calculation of load capacity of spur and helical gears was introduced in 2006. There were some later amendments, but several typographical and other errors. These can cause some misunderstandings during applications of the standard and are irritating for its users. This contribution seeks to highlight some aspects of the use of this standard, as well as drawing users’ attention to the errors it contains and, at the same time, properly worded content. To fully appreciate this article, the reader is advised to have a copy of the standard itself. Parts 3 and 6 of the standard are covered in the contribution.

The integration of Poland with the European Communities induced the necessity for harmonization of national regulations with European ones. Quality requirements for welded joints in steel bridges were presented by the authors in 11 articles published in the years 2002÷2017. Standard requirements given there were subjected to critical remarks in many cases. The effort for recapitulation of structural and research recommendations for welded joints in bridges are presented in this paper.

Ostatnie doświadczenia z kilku państw pozwalają zauważyć pewien wspólny kierunek poszukiwań nowych rozwiązań zarządzania ruchem zorientowany na przekrój drogowy typu „2 minus 1”. Jego zasadniczym celem jest umożliwienie zorganizowania ruchu wszystkich użytkowników drogi w obrębie jednojezdniowego przekroju drogi o jednym, lecz dwukierunkowym pasie ruchu oraz obustronnych przestrzeni przy jej krawędziach przeznaczonych dla ruchu pieszego i rowerowego, wyznaczonych oznakowaniem poziomym. W artykule opisano sposób, w jaki dostosowano istniejącą drogę do przekroju poprzecznego 2-1, wyniki badan pracy takiego przekroju drogowego na drodze powiatowej w powiecie chojnickim oraz rekomendacje dotyczące zastosowania tego typu przekroju drogowego.

Last experience from several countriesallows us to note a certain common direction of new searches, oriented to the “2 minus 1” road section. Its main purpose is to enable traffic for all road users to be organized within a single roadway section of a road with one but two-way lane and two-sided spaces at its edges intended for pedestrian and bicycle traffic marked with horizontal markings. The paper describes the manner in which the existing road has been adapted to the cross-section 2-1, the results of the study of the work of such a road section, on the county road in the Chojnice poviat and recommendations on the use of this type of road section.

W artykule przedstawiono zakres wykonanych prac inwentaryzacyjnych barokowego kościoła w Dąbrowicy. Na podstawie przeprowadzonej inwentaryzacji sporządzono rysunki architektoniczno-budowlane, a następnie dokumentację fotograficzną, badania zawilgocenia i uszkodzenia murów przez sole. Opracowano sposoby prac konserwatorskich oraz zabezpieczeniowych, a także podano warianty naprawy z zaleceniem co do wyboru jednego z nich.

This paper presents the range of inventory of the baroc church in Dubrovytsia. On the inventory were made architectural and construction drawings and the photografic documentation. Next were made the moisture tests and the tests of wall damages by salts. Finally the methods of the conservations and protections have been presented and also it has been given variants of the repair with the recommendation to choose one of them.

Zabytkowe kościoły znajdujące się na polskiej wsi lub w małych miejscowościach najczęściej są murowane z cegły. Jednak dość często można również spotkać interesujące architektonicznie i konstrukcyjnie obiekty, w których głównym materiałem budowlanym jest drewno. Występują dwa główne typy stosowanych rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych: budowle szachulcowe z drewnianym szkieletem ścian i budowle wykonane w całości z drewna. Większość z nich powstała kilkaset lat temu. Często są zarejestrowane w krajowym rejestrze zabytków, a w każdym z nich przeprowadzono już różne naprawy lub przebudowy. W artykule przedstawiono wybrane, typowe budynki małych kościołów o konstrukcji drewnianej, a także przykład oceny stanu technicznego z analizą statyczną i wytrzymałościową wiejskiego kościółka o konstrukcji zrębowej.

The most common structures of historic churches located in Polish countryside or in small towns are the brick masonry buildings. However, one can also find architecturally and structurally interesting objects in which the basic constructional material is wood. There are two main types of structural solutions applied: half-timbered buildings and buildings made completely of wood. Many of these buildings were created even several hundred years ago. Most of them are registered in the national monuments registry and each of them has undergone various repairs or refurbishments. The paper presents selected typical small timber churches and also an example of evaluation of the technical condition with static and strength analysis of a small countryside log wooden church.

Współcześnie, biorąc pod uwagę tempo naszego życia oraz technologie pozwalające niemal non stop być w pracy, wyzwaniem staje się znalezienie właściwej równowagi między pracą i życiem codziennym (domem, rodziną, życiem osobistym). Równowaga praca – życie jest przedmiotem wielu opracowań naukowych, popularno-naukowych, a także tematem wielu debat i dyskusji. Przyczyną tak dużego zainteresowania tym tematem jest niestety problem braku równowagi w życiu, z którym zmaga się coraz więcej osób. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników badań dotyczących postrzegania równowagi praca – życie przez pracowników oraz zaleceń dotyczących ułatwienia godzenia tych dwóch sfer.

Today we live very quickly. Thanks to many advanced technologies, we can almost constantly be at work. In these circumstances, the most important challenge is to find an optimal balance between work and life (family, home, private life). A work-life balance is nowadays a topic of many scientific papers, social debates and discussions. This popularity of the subject is triggered by the lack of work-life balance among the workforce. This paper presents the results of a survey on the perception of the work-life balance by employees and recommendations on how those two domains of our lives can be reconciled.

Zrównoważony rozwój infrastruktury komunikacyjnej uwzględnia zagadnienia związane z ekologią. Z tego powodu nieodzowna staje się realizacja wielu przejść dla zwierząt pod lub nad budowanymi drogami kołowymi i liniami kolejowymi. Dotyczy to również prac przy modernizacji dróg komunikacyjnych. Z uwagi na złożoność tych obiektów pod względem technicznych rozwiązań funkcjonalnych, jak też interdyscyplinarność tego zagadnienia konieczne jest, zdaniem autorów, wydanie odpowiednich Zaleceń do projektowania, budowy i utrzymania przejść dla zwierząt, które w sposób jednoznaczny uporządkowałyby wszystkie kwestie związane z tymi obiektami.

Natural aggregates are widely used both in ribbon and volumetric construction. In respect of quantitative demand, ribbon construction is definitely much more receptive. After completion of implementation of large infrastructural investments, co-financed by EU funds, volumetric construction will become one of major directions of sale of aggregates.

W artykule wymieniono i scharakteryzowano kryteria projektowania i oceny oświetlenia drogowego oraz oświetlenia zewnętrznego. Kryteria projektowania oświetlenia określono przez podanie podstawowych wymagań i zaleceń związanych z tworzeniem otoczenia świetlnego. Dotyczą one: rozkładu luminancji, natężenia oświetlenia, olśnienia, kierunkowości światła, oddawania barw, barwy światła i jego migotania. Mentioned and characterized are criteria concerning designing and evaluation of road and outer lighting. Lighting designing criteria defined are by presenting basic requirements and recommendations connected with the creation of lighting environment. They refer to illumination distribution, brightness, glare, light directivity, colours expression, light colour and light flickering. Attention is also paid to problems of an intrusive light, energy aspects, sustainable development needs, emergency lighting and lighting maintenance.
