The article presents a comparative assessment of USTER CLASSIMAT 5 apparatus set produced by USTER TECHNOLOGIES A.G. firm and CLASSIFAULT model CFT TRI CHORD Flex’s apparatus set produced by KEISOKKI firm designed to measure, analyze and classify rare errors of yarns. The analysis compared the information on the qualitative assessment of rare faults of yarns after the winding process carried out by means of tables and graphs. It was found that both apparatus sets enable to obtain very valuable information necessary for the proper control of the spinning process, among other things, such as the detection and classification of the classic faults of yarns, detection and classification of vegetable substances and foreign matter in the yarns. Apparatus USTER CLASSIMAT 5 is more powerful possibilities characterization of selected quality parameters of yarns through new original qualitative indicators.
