Transportation problem (TP) is a special type of linear programming problem (LPP) where the objective is to minimize the cost of distributing a product from several sources (or origins) to some destinations. This paper addresses a transportation problem in which the costs, supplies, and demands are represented as heptagonal fuzzy numbers. After converting the problem into the corresponding crisp TP using the ranking method, a goal programming (GP) approach is applied for obtaining the optimal solution. The advantage of GP for the decision-maker is easy to explain and implement in real life transportation. The stability set of the first kind corresponding to the optimal solution is determined. A numerical example is given to highlight the solution approach.

Risk scoring methods applied in risk assessments used in Turkey, differ from each other in terms of analysis methods, scoring the risks, presumption and sensitivity levels. This article aims to eliminate the effects of divergent results of different risk analyses of lifting equipments used in the building industry and develop a practical hybrid risk analysis and ranking method. In this study risks of lifting equipments used in the building industry were scored by conventional Fine-Kenney risk analysis method first. Secondly, with the experience of previous accidents on construction sites, the reasons of accidents were sorted into 7 main criteria, which being ‘Demographic’, ‘Behavioral’, ‘Machine Related’, ‘Working Environment Related’, ‘Economical’, ‘Administrative’ and ‘Organizational’ criteria and related sub-criteria. Developing these criteria was supported by the experience of inspections carried out by labour inspectors. The weighted scores of these criteria were calculated by AHP method using a questionnaire applied to 14 experienced labor inspectors. The weighted scores obtained by the analytical hierarchy process method (AHP) were multiplied by the scores obtained by Fine-Kinney risk assessment method and a new integrated risk assessment and ranking application was introduced. With this application, a different priority rank was created and which risk to be eliminated primarily was determined. Keywords: analytical hierarchy process, lifting equipments, fine-kinney, occupational health and safety, integrated risk analysis, ranking method

Content available Fuzzy similarity measure based on fuzzy sets
EN
This paper extends the notion of fuzzy similarity measure between fuzzy sets. A definite class of fuzzy similarity measures between fuzzy sets is also introduced. Using some theorems and examples, it is shown that the introduced extended similarity measures satisfy many common and desired properties, based on the common axiomatic definitions, introduced for fuzzy similarity measures. Some illustrative and practical examples from the areas of pattern recognition and approximate reasoning systems are provided in order to present the possible applications of the proposed fuzzy similarity measures.

PL
W pracy wykorzystano następujące materiały kartograficzne: mapę glebowo-rolniczą w skali 1 :5000 i mapy topograficzne 1: 1 O 000, 1 :50 000 w układzie 1992 oraz wybrane warstwy z numerycznej hydrograficznej mapy Polski 1 :50 000. W ramach pracy mapy: glebowo-rolnicza i topograficzne zostały zwektoryzowane.

The objective of this project was to create a ranking method for evaluation of ground water pollution potential such as LeGrand's nomogram, Holman 's procedure, Foster's GOD system or especially DRASTIC system. Protective possibilities of soil profile, depth of ground water, density of surface water network and slope of terrain were selected as diagnostic parameters. Each parameter obtained an index value from 1 - the worst protective possibilities to la - the best possibilities and a coefficient of importance for protection of underground water: soil and depth - 5 as having the biggest importance, density of surface water - 4 and slope of terrain - 3. The indexes for the depth of ground water, density of surface water and slope of terrain were assigned according to the range of their occurrence. The index for soil profile was computed in a special way defined in the project. The final classification was made for units of area delimited by variability of soil according to soil-agriculture map 1: 5. 000. The final value for each unit was computed as the sum of parameters' indexes multiplied by their coefficients of importance. The final values obtained were divided into 4 classes of ground water pollution risk and presented on the map for the selected commune: 1" - very high, 2nd - high, 3rd_ medium, 4th -low. It was proved that selected parameters allow to make classification of arable land according to its ground water pollution potential.
