Culverts were built from the very beginning when the first road and railway lines. Therefore, at the moment, we are dealing with traditional culverts and arising in Poland recently – modern culverts. In the construction of culverts we have a great variety of materials and technology. Like the other constructions that are part of amodern transport infrastructure, besides functional values is important an aspect of durability of these structures.The paper comparison materials and construction technology of culverts in aspect of their service life.
