Expanding the existing transportation systems is one of the key challenges in growing cities and agglomerations. It is also a key component of economic development. Development status affects the residents'standard of living. That is one of the reasons why a city's transport system is compared to blood circulation system, affecting the functioning of the entire body of a city. The paper presents an intersection of a newly designed street with an existing railway line in Cracow. The author analyses possible engineering solutions against existing terrain and traffic restraints.
