Analysis of aircraft delays in FIR Warsaw in the context of radionavigation systems

The paper contains an analysis of the causes of aircraft delays at the main airports in Poland. Due to the fact that for several years there has been a large increase in the volume of air traffic, generates operational and organisational problems related to aircraft servicing, both at the airport and in the air. Due to the PBN STAR procedure, it is possible not only to make more efficient use of the airspace, such as route layout, reduction of flight time by at least 2 min, reduction of separation but also to reduce the amount of harmful substances produced by the aircraft. When performing RNAV GNSS air operations, an aircraft saves approximately 275 kg of fuel per flight, which has a significant impact on environmental protection.

W latach ostatniej dekady minionego wieku pozycja użytkownika była określana za pomocą licznych metod wykorzystujących fale radiowe. takich jak naziemne systemy radionawigacyjne (NSRN), w tym radionamierzanie i radar oraz nawigacyjne systemy satelitarne (NSS). Przełom wieków przyniósł jednak wiele istotnych zmian w statusach operacyjnych i praktyce eksploatacyjnej tych systemów. Obecnie w pełni operacyjne są jedynie niektóre NSS, radar i naziemny system Loran C. Po omówieniu wybranych NSRN udzielono odpowiedzi na pytanie, dlaczego NSS praktyczne ciągu zaledwie kilku lat całkowicie wyparły z rynku NSRN. Scharakteryzowano także światowy i polski rynek NSRN i NSS, dziś oraz w przyszłości.

In the last decade of the past century the user's position was obtained from many specialized electronic position-fixing systems, as terrestrial radionavigation systems (TRNS) in this radio direction finding systems and radar, and satellite navigation systems (SNS). The turn of the 215* century gave a rise to many important changes in the operational status and practical exploitation of these systems. Nowadays some SNS, radar and terrestrial system Loran C are fully operational only. After the description of most important TRNS one provided answers why SNS has ousted TRNS practically completely during few years only. The world and Polish market of SNS, today and in the futurę was described also.
