Wszechobecny monitoring pacjenta jest jednym ze sposobów zniwelowania negatywnych skutków obecnego modelu opieki zdrowotnej i może być dużym krokiem naprzód w rozwoju medycyny. W niniejszym referacie przedstawiono projekt i wykonanie bezprzewodowego systemu telemedycznego, monitorującego parametry życiowe człowieka, takie jak aktywność elektryczna serca, przyspieszenie ciała oraz stan przycisku alarmowego. Składa się on z urządzenia nasobnego, stacji bazowej, komputera oraz terminala mobilnego. Przeprowadzono badania wpływu zmiennych warunków pracy na działanie sieci WBAN typu off-body, stanowiącej część wykonanego systemu.

Pervasive patient monitoring is one of the ways to overcome negative effects of the current healthcare model and can be a step forward in the medicine development. In the article, authors present design and implementation of the wireless telemedicine system, which monitors vital signs of human body, such as electrical activity of a heart, a dynamic acceleration and state of the alarm button. The Wireless Body Area Network included in the systemwas tested for the effect of changing conditions in an indoor environment.

A high speed of battlefield changes influences the process of reconnaissance information acquisition. Transformations that the theory how to conduct fighting undergoes, their dynamics and blurring differences between particular kinds of operations enforce the necessity to introduce a new aerial reconnaissance asset into land forces, i.e. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). UAVs may also be used in the civilian environment, for instance during EURO 2012 football championships organized by Poland. The article presents the possibility of imagery and data transmission in real time with the use of microwave radio network WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access). Advantages and drawbacks of this technology are shown. Moreover, an analysis is conducted how to apply WiMAX in visual aerial monitoring using UAVs which could help in surveillance of widespread forest areas, border control, sports events or traffic supervision.

W pracy przedstawiono problem znajdowania najbardziej odległych sąsiadów dla wybranej stacji w sieci radiowej, w której stacje (z nadajnikami o jednakowej mocy) sa˛ rozmieszczone na kracie, tj. w punktach o współrzędnych całkowitych. Zaprezentowany algorytm działa w czasie O(R), gdzie R jest zasięgiem stacji.

In this paper we present the problem of finding the farthest neighbours for a selected station in a radio network. The stations (with transmitters having identical range) are localized on a grid, i.e. the vertices have integer origins. The presented algorithm completed its work in time L(R), where R is a radius of the station.

The command system and particularly the communication system were subjected to enormous development in recent years. The main reasons for these changes were the two areas of conditions - the kind of armed conflicts and digitalisation of communication nets. Due to this fact the undergoing changes in the surrounding of military communication systems demand a new approach to analyse and evaluate this development of battlefield nets. The conclusions drawn from the above research on qualitative aspects of internal and external development of battlefield nets were presented in this article. Therefore the battlefield nets were placed in higher level of command and the basic areas of determination in the development of this kind of communication were selected. Creating next numerous criteria of battlefield nets’ division aimed at respecting multi-aspect internal changes were undergoing in the analysed systems. The presented results and conclusions from the conducted research were used in the next cycle of scientific exploration to determine the main trends in the development of battlefield nets.
