Systemy kierowania ruchem statków (VTS) sprawują nadzór oraz kierują ruchem statków na akwenach portowych i wodach podejściowych do portów. Radarowe stacje brzegowe są podstawnymi elementami tego system, zapewniając detekcję i śledzenie obiektów. Z uwagi na zwartą zabudowę obiektów portowych, rozmieszczenie stacji radarowych podlega ograniczeniom. W artykule dokonano analizy czynników mających wpływ na rozmieszczenie stacji radarowych w systemie VTS. Przedstawiono modele matematyczne pozwalające na optymalne rozmieszczenie stacji radarowych na torze. Modele należą do klasy zagadnień programowania matematycznego liniowego mieszanego (PCLM).

A vessel traffic system (VTS) is a marine traffic monitoring and controlling system of the movement of vessels on the port water areas. Coastal radar stations are the basic elements of these system to detection and tracking the vessels. However, in the ports of the dense structure and the relatively small size of water areas elements, the use of radar observation causes limitations to achieved of these aims. The paper presents an analysis of the problems connected with radar traffic control on the port water areas. Mathematical models allow for optimal placement of radar stations are presented. Models belong to the class of linear mixed mathematical programming problems (PCLM).
