There is briefly analyzed the new role of flight control system highly augmented aircraft, goals and problems in their design. The system approach based on deep study of regularities in pilot behavior is considered shortly as a tool for the solution of different manual control tasks. The efficiency of the system approach is demonstrated on a number of applied tasks. The specific place is dedicated to the analysis of facilities appropriated to the different stages of experimental investigations on manual control. The high efficiency of the workstation developed for solution of different manual control tasks is shown too.
