The transportation problem is a special class of linear programming techniques that were devolved for linear function and constraints. This paper acquaints the weighted arithmetic mean algorithm for optimality. After studying and analyzing the algorithm, we can perform the special type of case rather than the Non-Degenerate transportation problem. At the optimality level, the entire transportation problem will consider the least cost of the cost matrix. This paper explores the Degenerate transportation problem of seeking optimality and enhances the problem to be optimal or near to optimal solution by assigning the weights to the cost matrix.

Zagadnienie transportowe to specjalne zadanie programowania liniowego, dla którego zostały opracowane dedykowane algorytmy. W tej pracy zaproponowano dwa podejścia do zagadnienia transportowego. W pierwszym podejściu podajemy algorytm średniej ważonej. Jest on przeznaczony dla początkowego podstawowego rozwiązania dopuszczalnego. W drugim podejściu wyjaśniamy zastosowanie wag do osiągnięcia optymalności. Wagi, to dodatkowe parametry, które są ujęte w macierzy kosztu. Po przestudiowaniu i przeanalizowaniu algorytmu analizujemy specjalny przypadek zdegenerowany, dla którego uzyskujemy rozwiązanie optymalne lub bliskie optymalnemu.

Do czasów współczesnych w Opolu przetrwało jedynie kilka cementowni. Tylko jedna z nich wykorzystywana jest jako fabryka cementu. Los dwóch najmłodszych cementowni, wybudowanych w niewielkiej odległości od siebie, po II Wojnie Światowej potoczył się podobnie. Niekiedy w literaturze i w źródłach określa się je jako „bliźniacze”, wysnuto ponadto przypuszczenie o wykorzystaniu do ich budowy tego samego projektu konstrukcyjnego. Przypuszczenie to nie jest prawdziwe, ponieważ cementownie różnią się znacząco pod względem zarówno projektu, jak i materiałów użytych do ich budowy. Autorzy niniejszego artykułu porównują strukturę obu fabryk oraz istniejące pomiędzy nimi różnice.

To modern times it has been survived only a few cement plants in Opole. Only one of them still acts as a cement factory. The two youngest cement plants, built in a small distance, met similar happens after World War II. They are sometimes referred to as „twin” in the literature and sources and is put thesis on the use of the same construction project to build them. This thesis is not true, because they differ significantly in both, design and materials used to construction. The authors compare of the structure and identity of the two factories in the article.

Low alloy steel versus ADI - differences and similarities

The results of comparison between the microstructure of selected bainitic low alloy steel and austempered ductile iron ADI are presented. The aim of the comparison was to find out differences and similarities existing in these iron carbon commercial alloys. In this paper our own results on ADI structure and literature data were used. It follows from discussion presented here that both microstructure and properties of ADI are very close that which are observed in low alloy carbon steel. Moreover, we suggest that there is no so doubt to treat ADI mechanical properties as steel containing nodular inclusions of graphite.
