The paper presents the dependence of relative fluorescence quantum yield of marine phytoplankton on trophicity (as a measure of trophicity the chlorophyll a concentration was assumed). The dependence was worked out using the following empirical data from different regions of Southern Baltic: artificially excited phytoplankton fluorescence measured with BBE Moldaenke FluoroProbe and phytoplankton light absorption coefficient measured with spectrophotometer. The statistical analyzes allow establishing mathematical expression describing relation between fluorescence quantum yield and chlorophyll a concentration in sea water. This result can be useful in the future in the modeling of fluorescence quantum yield as a function of environmental factors.

Przedstawiono wyniki teoretycznej analizy wydajności kwantowej selektywnego detektora promieniowania ultrafioletowego (UF).

The results of theoretical analysis of quantum yield of selective detector in ultraviolet (UV) radiation range are presented. The yield calculations were carried out for two layer p-n detector, which consists of two AlxGa1-xN semiconductors differing by the composition parameter x and the thickness. Selection of the proper composition as well as the thickness of the AlxGa1-xN layer cutting off the UV from the short wavelength side and the mole composition of the p-n junction side of AlxGa1-xN allows practically arbitrary modeling the selectivity of the UV detector. The presented curves showing the spectral dependence of the quantum yield cover the rage from 3.4 eV to 4.3 eV. The curves were found to be unsymmertial - from the long wavelength side the fall is more rapid.
