The effect of fluid viscosity on the characteristics of gear pump of declared capacity of 2.5 m3·h-1

The paper presents selected characteristics of gear pump of declared volume flow rate of 2.5 m3·h-1. The effect of viscosity on among others: volume velocity and power of the pump shaft has been determined. It has been found that the viscosity significantly influences the characteristics of the pump.

W artykule przedstawiono wybrane charakterystyki pompy zębatej o deklarowanej wydajności 2,5 m3·h-1. Określono wpływ lepkości m.in. na strumień objętości oraz moc na wale pompy. Ustalono, że lepkość znacząco wpływa na charakterystyki przepływowe pompy.

For the impeller pumps is very important to have the stable (Q,Y) characteristic. In this article is derived the influence of dissipative energy on (Q,Y) stability and main results for terms affecting this phenomenon.

This paper considers the method to be used for efficiency increase of CNS type pump units application in formation pressure maintenance systems by means of replaceable flow parts use is given in the paper. The effect of hydrodynamic parameters variation on the pump characteristics is considered in the paper as well.
