The paper presents analysis of current waveforms of BLDC motor running idle and operating at partial load. The supply voltage waveform is trapezoidal, but emf induced in the windings and influenced by permanent magnets differs in shape; therefore the supply current contains significant ripple component. In case of idle run, the instantaneous value of emf (during one supply commutation sequence) is higher than supply voltage and this causes instantaneous change in current direction - the current flows away from the motor and into the supply source. When BLDC motor is supplied with ripple current, the winding power losses increase compared to losses generated by constant current equal to average value of supply current with ripple component (over one commutation sequence time interval). These power losses due to current ripple may be decreased if supply circuit is modified in such a way, that instantaneous supply voltage value is controlled by PWM so that motor current is stabilised.

Omówiono zagadnienia wpływu pulsacji prądu na stan akumulatora. Przedstawiono kryteria oceny generowanych przez prostownik pulsacji prądu ładowania w kontekście zachowania żywotności baterii. Podano przykładowe wartości tętnień dla różnych typów prostowników.

Presents determination of active and passive power of individual harmonics by the analog and digital method in power systems, in the case of distorted waveforms of voltages and currents. An analytical method of determining harmonics using a multichannel analyser and by the computer method are shown.
