Dlatego w niniejszym artykule podjęto próbę analizy wymogów certyfikacyjnych głównych organizacji lotniczych w Europie i w USA odnośnie kolizji statków powietrznych z ptakami.

As it was proved by conclusions of analyses, which were carried out, one of the factor that is significant for flight safety is potential threat of bird strikes, especially at the airport and in its vicinity. Despite the fact that a lot of methods were developed to lessen this threat, it turns out that they are not sufficient enough to bring appropriate results. That is why the problem is still topical and needs to be covered by a series of researches. In addition, the analysis of the research literature shows that some categories of aircraft do not have any certification requirements relating to bird strikes. Therefore, in this paper an attempt to analyze the main certification requirements of aviation organizations in Europe and the United States regarding the bird strikes.

The current problem in farmland ecology is the change in the character of rural development in areas neighbouring cities and towns. Progressive urbanization and the predominance of housing estates over agricultural aims led to a change in the bird community. During 2005-2010, a survey of birds wintering within densely populated built-up rural areas was conducted by the line transect method (a total length of 8 km). A total number of 33 species was recorded and the most numerous dominant was the House Sparrow Passer domesticus, which constituted 32.58% of the bird community. The group of dominants and subdominants (which constituted up to 20% of the bird community) included the Yellowhammer Emberiza citrinella and the Rook Corvus frugilegus, and a group of forest and synanthropic species - the Great Tit Parus major, the Blue Tit Cyanistes caeruleus, the Blackbird Turdus merula, and the Collared Dove Streptopelia decaocto. The total density varied in subsequent study years from 57.4 to 87.5 ind. 10 ha[^-1] and was approximately twice lower than in other rural regions studied in Poland. A significant decrease in the wintering birds. diversity index was recorded through the study period. The explanations for this could be in the character of villages in the proximity of builtup city areas. This has rapidly changed in recent years, and nowadays agricultural management in the region is discarded. As a result, farmlands of the region almost entirely lost their agricultural character, notably becoming a residential and recreational backup for cities. The villages neighbouring cities and towns are developed into suburban-like areas, where housing estates predominate over agricultural aims. Future consequences of these changes are far-reaching for farmland biodiversity and ecology. The decrease in species diversity and evolution into urban-like bird communities is the most probable scenario.

The structural composition of the forest habitats is considered to be one of the most important factors affecting the breeding bird community composition. Structurally more homogenous forests are usually characterized by lower number of bird species and their densities. This study presents results of a comparison of the breeding bird communities in three Carpathian mountain forests, and the effect of the forest composition on breeding bird species richness and density. There are the bird communities occurring in semi-natural forests: natural mixed forest (NMF) - spruce-beech forest situated ca. 1000 m a.s.l. and UFZ-spruce forest in the upper forest zone (UFZ) up to 1510 m a.s.l., and the managed spruce forest (MSF) at altitude which is similar to NMF. The territory mapping method was used to estimate the number of breeding species and their densities during years 2004-2006. The species richness as well as the density of breeding bird communities were found to be higher in the semi-natural habitats (33 breeding species; 64.6 breeding pairs 10[^-1] ha in NMF and 28 breeding species; 57.6 breeding pairs 10[^-1] ha in UFZ) than in the managed habitat (21 breeding species; 53.6 breeding pairs 10[^-1] ha). This was true even for the high-elevated study plot despite the fact that the altitude is usually negatively correlated with both the species richness and density.
