In the paper there is shown the comparative analysis of the courses of linear acceleration and velocity measured using analog devices and measured using GPS systems. There is also discussed the problem of the reduction of these parameters from their location points to the center of masses. The example of the measurement results has been shown on the basis of steady-state circular road test. There was applied four-wheel flat model and the theory of motion kinematics was implemented.

W pracy jest przedstawiona analiza porównawcza przebiegów prędkości i przyspieszenia liniowego zmierzonych przyrządami analogowymi z pomiarami realizowanymi w systemach GPS. Omówiono także problem redukcji tych wielkości z punktów mocowania przyrządów do środka mas. Pokazano przykład z wynikami pomiarów zrealizowanych podczas próby ustalonej jazdy po okręgu. Zastosowany czterokołowy model płaski i związaną z tym teorię kinematyki ruchu.
This paper presents the results of research and comparative analysis of the vibrations of the front suspension arm resulting from the operation of a rotating wheel with a tire with a given unbalance. The effect resulting from the application of a flexible component joining the arm with car body on the arm vibrations in the longitudinal and vertical directions is determined and described.

A special design of an electronic device for aiding the visually impaired in independent travel is presented in the paper. The device contains a stereovision module consisting of 2 MPix resolution digital cameras, a sound card and a processor that controls image acquisition and data recording from linear acceleration and angular velocity sensors. The modules communicate with a computer via single USB 2.0 interface (USB 2.0 hub is used). The device is powered directly from the USB port. The electrical current drawn by the module does not exceed 450 mA. This prototype system is a key element in the electronic travel aid for the visually impaired.
