Ekspansja obiektów architektonicznych, poprzez cykl życia – wznoszenie, użytkowanie, rozbiórkę i dobór materiałów (również zawierających cykl życia), dzięki możliwościom oferowanym przez rozwój transportu, który umożliwia dystrybucję materiałów niezbędnych do powstania budynków, eskaluje środowisko naturalne. Mając tego świadomość, autor w artykule postawił tezę: wprowadzenie ekologicznych analiz logistyczno-transportowo-zaopatrzeniowych we wczesnej fazie procesu projektowego pozwoli na zmniejszenie oddziaływania obiektów architektonicznych na środowisko naturalne we wszystkich fazach cyklu życia w momencie, gdy niezbędny jest materiał budowlany. Na podstawie badanych oraz analizowanych przykładów autor prezentuje cykl życia obiektów architektonicznych pod względem dobieranych/dostarczanych materiałów budowlanych w rozumieniu idei zrównoważonego rozwoju. Tym samym wskazuje, w jakim kierunku powinien zmierzać proces projektowy w świetle dostarczanego budulca, a także określa rolę i miejsce architekta wyznaczającego oś między budynkiem (sztucznym środowiskiem życia) a środowiskiem naturalnym (ekosystemem, w którym egzystuje ponad 7 miliardów ludzi). Artykuł jest również przyczynkiem do dyskusji nad kształtowaniem początkowego procesu projektowego z uwzględnieniem logistycznych aspektów transportu materiałów – wbudowanego ekologicznego cyklu życia – w dobie kryzysu ekologicznego.

Architectural expansion through life cycle – the construction, use, demolition and selection of materials (also containing life cycle) due to the possibility of the current development of the global logistics transport distributing the materials necessary for the formation of the buildings, escalates the environment. With this in mind, the author into article create the thesis: introduction in the early stages of the design process, ecological analysis of logistics – transportation – supplied of the materials, will help to reduce the impact of architectural objects on the environment during all phases of the life cycle when it is necessary building material. Based on, studied and analyzed examples the author presents expose the life cycle of architectural objects in terms matched/supplied building materials within the meaning of the sustainable development concept. Thus, indicate in which direction should aim the design process in the light of supplied building materials, and the role and place of the architect defining an axis between the building (artificial habitat) and the environment (ecosystem, which exists more than 7 billion people). The article is also a contribution to the discussion on the evolution of the early design process, taking into account the logistics aspects of transport of materials – the embodied ecological life cycle – in era of environmental crisis.
