Książka elektroniczna jako przestrzeń projektowa w grafice komputerowej

Książki elektroniczne stanowią obecnie integralny i w coraz większym stopniu autonomiczny segment rynku wydawniczego, charakteryzujący się dużą różnorodnością form, technik i funkcji – co znajduje odzwierciedlenie także na płaszczyźnie ich estetyki. W praktyce najczęściej spotyka się trzy uogólnione modele e-booków: książkę zdigitalizowaną, e-book będący wersją wariantową (towarzyszącą edycji drukowanej) oraz publikacje typu born-digital. Każda z tych form wiąże się z nieco innym podejściem w zakresie projektowania graficznego. Niezależnie od sposobu zapisu – tradycyjnego czy cyfrowego – książka dobrze zaprojektowana to taka, w której treść, tekst i forma graficzna stanowią spójną, harmonijnie skomponowaną całość, dostosowaną do uwarunkowań technologicznych oraz wspierającą percepcję i recepcję treści. Kwestie związane z estetyką książki mają charakter w dużej mierze uniwersalny – wiele zasad wypracowanych na potrzeby edytorstwa tradycyjnego zachowuje aktualność również w odniesieniu do książki elektronicznej. W przypadku e-booków szczególnie ważne są fizjologiczne uwarunkowania procesów lektury. Wykorzystanie technik i narzędzi grafiki komputerowej niewątpliwie usprawnia procesy związane z projektowaniem książek – w tym publikacji elektronicznych.

E-books are now an integral and increasingly autonomous segment of the publishing market, characterized by a wide variety of forms, techniques and functions – which is also reflected in their aesthetics. In practice, three general models of e-books are most common: a digitized book, an ebook as a variant version (to a printed edition) and the born-digital publications. Each of these forms is associated with a slightly different approach to graphic design. Regardless of the method of recording – traditional or digital – a well-designed book is one in which the content, the text and the graphic form constitute a coherent, harmoniously composed entirety, adapted to technological conditions and aimed at supporting the perception and reception of the content. Issues related to book aesthetics are essentially universal – many principles developed for the needs of traditional editing remain valid also in relation to electronic books. In the case of e-books, physiological determinants of reading processes are particularly important. The use of techniques and tools of computer graphics undoubtedly improves the processes related to the design of books – including electronic ones.

It is very important to take into consideration the problems connected with insolation while designing energy efficient buildings. The article covers the outline of plotting a project space using the algorithm of estimated elapsed time measurement of insolation in critical premises and critical points in the adjoining areas, where the insolation standards are to be met.

Przy projektowaniu energoefektywnych budynków ważnym zagadnieniem jest uwzględnianie problemu nasłonecznienia. W artykule przedstawiono schemat kształtowania przestrzeni projektowej przy użyciu algorytmu do określenia obliczeniowej długości czasu nasłonecznienia w najbardziej niekorzystnie położonych pomieszczeniach oraz w niekorzystnie usytuowanych punktach na przylegającej do nich powierzchni, w których powinny być zachowane normatywy nasłonecznienia.

In this work, we present the performance constraints in the design of ultra-thin body Junctionless Vertical Slit Field Effect Transistor (JL VeSFET). A design space that take into account the intrinsic off-current, the sub-threshold swing and the drain induced barrier lowering is investigated with respect to key technological parameters, namely, the doping level in the channel, the minimum slit width, and the effective radius of the slit. This work could serve as a guideline for technology optimization, design and scaling of JL VeSFETs.
