The pressure which is being exerted on manufacturers by the users of consumer goods towards more environmentally friendly applications, favours the use of already existing environmentally friendly raw materials or the search for new ones. One of the promising directions for research is aimed at developing new packaging materials based on biopolymers. Research recently conducted made it possible to use hydrothermally pre-treated starch/protein raw material in the manufacture of a new generation of biopolymer materials. Biopolymer products obtained by various modifications were used to produce an exemplary batches of mouldings and packaging materials (films, corrugated cardboard).

Nacisk wywierany przez użytkowników dóbr konsumpcyjnych, ukierunkowany na zastosowanie bardziej proekologiczne, powoduje stosowanie już istniejących lub poszukiwanie nowych surowców i materiałów przyjaznych środowisku. Jednym z kierunków rokujących duże nadzieje są badania mające na celu opracowanie nowych materiałów opakowaniowych do wytworzenia, których wykorzystywane będą surowce biopolimerowe. Wykonane prace badawcze pozwoliły na wykorzystanie wstępnie zmodyfikowanego hydrotermicznie surowca skrobiowo-białkowego do wytworzenia nowej generacji materiałów biopolimerowych. Uzyskane w wyniku modyfikacji produkty posłużyły, z kolei, do wytworzenia demonstracyjnych partii materiałów biopolimerowe - folii, kształtek oraz klejów do tektur wielowarstwowych.

Processes of computerization have become a standard in contemporary production plant methods. Implementation of these processes is aimed at limiting activities which had up to that point, been performed manually. Dedicated computer systems are being developed according to the requirements imposed on concrete enterprises with consideration of their manufacturing specificity. These adjusted systems facilitate and accelerate production and improve its performance while helping maintain a consistent level of quality for the final product. Flour mill laboratories use the software to record and facilitate computation of the measurements. This study is aimed at analysing the potential for implementation of the FAM-FMC system as a tool to support production of flour with parameters that match specific customer expectations.

Przedstawiono wyniki badań systemu eksploatacji maszyn w przemyśle zbożowo-młynarskim. Badano następujące maszyny: redler, zapora magnesowa, podnośnik kubełkowy, tryjer okrągło ziarnisty, eureka (maszyna złuszczająca ziarno), urządzenia pierwszego śrutu, urządzenia pierwszego rozczynu. W celu wyznaczenia czasu oczekiwania maszyn na naprawę zbudowano model symulacyjny systemu i wykonano eksperymenty symulacyjne. Oszacowano nieznane czasy przebywania urządzeń w kolejce zgłoszeń na naprawę, a także wpływ tego czasu na wybrane wskaźniki eksploatacyjne - wskaźnik gotowości technicznej.

Paper describes the results of study on the system of exploitation and maintenance of the machines in grain milling industry. Following machines and devices were investigated: drag conveyor (redler), magnetic barrier, bucket conveyor, push-plate conveyor, spherically - grainy trieur, grain dehuller (peeling machine), primary grain grinding devices, primary leaven devices. In order to determine the time of wailing for machine repair the simulation model of the system was developed and some simulation experiments were carried out. Unknown duration of awaiting in the queue for repair of any device was estimated as well as the effect of such waiting time on selected exploitation indices - the index of machine technical readiness, was determined.
