This paper presents select problems of resistance of cold-formed bending elements with C-cross-section according to PN-EN 1993-1-3 and PN-B-03207. The study is concentrated on the analysis of effective area of C-section with the single edge fold stiffener and the effects of local and distortional buckling. The difference of the calculation rules according to this normative documents are presented. It was proved that the procedure given in does not enough correlate with the results given by and Sharp and Hancock's modification metod.
