The opinions of the usefulness of the chosen kinds of artificial neural networks in the aspect of the regress modeling and the prediction of the strength proprieties of the connections of the yams ends created from worsted Sirospun yarns were executed. Connections were executed in industrial condi-tions the use ofthe splicing device Jointair 927L MESDAN firm installed on automatic winding machine ESPERO M of the SAVIO firm. The following kinds of ANN were considered in the anatysis: Linear, Tri-layer perceptron (MLP-3), Four-layer perceptron (MLP-4), Generalized Regression Neural Networks (GRNN) and - Radial Basis Function Network (RBF). It was affirmed that MLP nets both three-layer, how and four-layer one showed the largest predicted ability and the smallest one RBF net.
