The article is a continuation of the publication: " The analysis of the possibility of formation of component yams pneumatically linked with metallized components", which was published in Textile Review, Textiles, Garments, Leather, No 7/2012 [1] and presents metrological test results on selected parameters of component yarns formed by pneumatic texturing and interlacing technique with metallized elements. Moreover, the publication contains results of the analysis of processing obtained yarns in the knitting process.

The subject of research work conducted at the Textile Research Institute has been the recognition of the conditions and effects of selected linking filament and staple yarns using the high-efficient technique of pneumatic interlacing. The estimation of the linking effects in pneumatic interlaced staple - filament yarns was carried out on the basis of the following analysis the new parameters developed in order to evaluate the linking effects, i.e. the length of forced pull-down segments and the length of the unconnected segments.

The article presents test results on possibility of applying different joining techniques in the formation of pneumatic interlaced component yarns that contain metallized yam components. It discusses the classical technique of forming yarns with metallized elements and examines the possibility of forming pneumatic component yarn by texturing and interlacing technique. Microscopic examination of yarn was also performed.

The article presents test results on elasticity of bicomponent yarn. Tested yarns were made according to pneumatic interlacing technique. The experiment consisted in forming two assortment groups of component yarns containing components of classic cotton yarns: carded and combed yarn. The studies concerned the impact of technological factors and the values of controlled elongation given during sample testing on the elasticity of bicomponent yarns.

Tested yarns were made according to pneumatic interlacing technique. The technological parameters: air pressure and the rate of yarn forming were varied. The experiment consisted in forming component yarns containing components of rotor cotton yarns. Hairiness results were analyzed in terms of the influence of the above, technological factors and the structure of used staple feed yarn.
