Omówiono dwa projekty strategiczne realizowane w Samodzielnym Laboratorium Długości: „Udział w projekcie wykorzystania mikroukładów elektromechanicznych do zapewnienia wzorców wymiarów dla użytkowników mikroskopów bliskich oddziaływań i mikroskopów elektronowych” oraz „Udział w projekcie opracowania polskiego kompaktowego laserowego wzorca długości/częstotliwości – elementu składowego interferometru dla celów przemysłowych”.

Two strategic projects realized in the Length Laboratory was discussed: “Participation in the project of using MEMS to provide dimensional standards for users of atomic force microscopes” and “Participation in the project of developing a Polish compact laser length/ frequency standard – a part of the interferometer for industrial purposes”.

W wywiadzie, przeprowadzonym przez przedstawicieli redakcji PTJ, przedstawione zostały m.in. następujące tematy: priorytetowe zadania Centrum, w tym zadania wynikające z wdrażania Programu Polskiej Energetyki Jądrowej (PPEJ), rola Narodowego Centrum Badań Jądrowych (NCBJ) w organizacji wsparcia technicznego (TSO) energetyki jądrowej w Polsce, działania informacyjne i edukacyjne NCBJ, projekty strategiczne (CERAD i inne). W rozmowie omówiono także czynniki warunkujące realizację zadań NCBJ.

In the interview Director of National Centre fo Nuclear Research (NCNR) has described the most important tasks of the Centre including the tasks concerned with the Polish Nuclear Energy Programme. The subject of the interview conducted by representatives of the journal ”Progress in Nuclear Technology” has related also to participation of the Centre in Technical Support Organization (TSO) for nuclear energy, public information and education activity, strategic projects (CERAD and others) and the factors referring to realization of the NCNR tasks.

Strategic metropolitan projects. examples from Hamburg, Potsdam and Berlin

This article presents some projects implemented in the centres of german metropolises of strategic importance for the process of the urban revitalization and integration of a spatial metropolitan structure. The author analyzes the following examples: HafenCity in Hamburg, the revitalization of the former military and postindustrial waterfront grounds by the Havel River in Potsdam with special emphasis upon the Hans Otto Theatre and the City Park as well as three projects of key importance for the functional and spatial integration of the structure of Berlin after the year 1990: the governmental complex “Spreebogen”, the Central Railway Station and the restoration of the Museum Island. in conclusion, the author presents interdependences between the architecture of a metropolis and the architectonics of a network of public spaces and nodes, i.e. the structure which puts an urban space in order in the functional and spatial regard in the layer of the cultural symbolism and estheticism of an urban landscape. The notions of “a network of public spaces” and “nodes” also have an arranging value with reference to the social and economic aspects in a collection of attributes characterizing the models of a spatial metropolitan structure under research.

Tematem artykułu są projekty śródmieść niemieckich metropolii o znaczeniu strategicznym dla prowadzenia procesu rewitalizacji urbanistycznej oraz integrowania przestrzennej struktury metropolitalnej. Autor analizuje następujące projekty: HafenCity w Hamburgu, rewitalizacji powojskowych i poprzemysłowych terenów nadbrzeżnych Haweli w Poczdamie – ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem teatru Hansa Otto i Parku Miejskiego oraz trzy projekty o kluczowym znaczeniu dla integrowania funkcjonalno-przestrzennej struktury Berlina po roku 1990: kompleks rządowy „Spreebogen”, Dworzec Główny i projekt Odnowy Wyspy Muzeów. W podsumowaniu przedstawiono współzależności między architekturą metropolis i architektoniką sieci przestrzeni publicznych i miejsc węzłowych, czyli strukturą porządkującą przestrzeń urbanistyczną pod względem funkcjonalnoprzestrzennym, w warstwie symboliki kulturowej i estetyki krajobrazu miejskiego. Pojęcia: „sieć przestrzeni publicznych” i „miejsca węzłowe” mają także walor porządkujący w odniesieniu do aspektów społeczno-ekonomicznych w zbiorze atrybutów charakteryzujących badane modele przestrzennej struktury metropolitalnej.
