This article presented a new solution to the problem of forming a mathematical model of an automated assembly in the form of binary relations of movement restrictions on 3D models created in CATIA. Shown that the use of new software lets you analyze an large assembly, is practically in polynomial time.

The article presents the methodology of the choice of the kinematic module industrial robot systems used in casting processes. The methodology makes possible of the accomplishment choice of the robot optimum configuration from point of view of the key process parameters, i.e. the volume of working space, the positioning accuracy, the working speed, energetics parameters, the surface area occupied by configured system, the service comforts and the construction complexity. Besides this method was used to elaborate the optimization model the assuring selection of parameters of dimension chain assembly operation, meringues superfluous enlarging the accuracy of applied instrumentation of stand, and in relationship from this also his costs.

This paper presents the method of assembly-oriented design with the use of DFA Expert computer software. The use of this method for analysis and redesign of the assembly product "Polimag" allowed to reduce the number of parts almost by half and to cut the estimated production cost appreciably.
