W artykule podjęto tematykę konieczności uwzględniania warunków bezpiecznego prowadzenia robót już na etapie wykonywania projektów przebudów istniejących budynków. Wskazano przykłady zagrożeń, jakie mogą powstać podczas realizacji prac budowlanych. Zamieszczenie odpowiednich informacji w dokumentacji projektowej może być pomocne w aspekcie uświadomienia możliwości wystąpienia potencjalnych zagrożeń, a także wyeliminowania nieświadomego uszkodzenia elementów konstrukcyjnych. W następstwie złego stanu technicznego strop drewniany podpierający więźbę dachową uległ zawaleniu. Ściana stolcowa opierała się na wewnętrznej ścianie podłużnej, na wewnętrznej poprzecznej ścianie budynku oraz na fragmencie stropu. W wyniku zawalenia stropu nastąpiła zmiana schematu statycznego ścian stolcowych. Pierwotnie słupki i miecze przenosiły siły ściskające. W efekcie zmiany schematu statycznego w części słupków i mieczy nastąpiła zmiana sił ze ściskających na rozciągające. W tym przypadku jest to szczególnie niebezpieczne, gdyż wykonane połączenia ciesielskie nie są w stanie przenieść sił rozciągających.

The article addresses the issue of the need to take into account the conditions for safe conduct of works already at the stage of designing redevelopment of existing buildings. Examples of hazards that may arise during the implementation of construction works are indicated. Including relevant information in the design documentation can be helpful in terms of awareness of the possibility of potential threats, as well as the elimination of unconscious damage to structural elements. As a result of poor technical condition, the wooden ceiling supporting the roof truss collapsed. The king post wall rested on the internal longitudinal wall, on the internal transverse wall of the building and on a fragment of the ceiling. As a result of the collapse of the ceiling, the static scheme of the pillar walls changed. Originally, the posts and swords carried compressive forces. As a result of the change in the static scheme in some of the posts and swords, the forces changed from compressive to tensile. In this case, it is particularly dangerous, because the carpentry joints are not able to transfer the tensile forces.

Sala wykładowa Wydziału Chemicznego Politechniki Wrocławskiej im. Edwina Płażka została wybudowana w latach 50. XX w. W swoim obecnym układzie przestrzennym, wystroju i wyposażeniu nie spełnia podstawowych warunków i norm obowiązujących w zakresie bezpieczeństwa i komfortu użytkowników. Mankamenty sali związane z ergonomią, zabezpieczeniem przeciwpożarowym, akusty-ką, ale także aspekty plastyczne i estetyczne przesądzają 0 konieczności wykonania generalnego remontu. Istotnym elementem tych działań jest również przewidywane przez Inwestora poszerzenie oferty programowej audytorium: od akademickich wykładów aż do międzynarodowych sympozjów. Istnieje zatem potrzeba wyposażenia sali w wielofunkcyjną kabinę projekcyjno-sterowniczą, dostosowaną do tłumaczeń symultanicznych.

The Edwin Płażek auditorium at the Chemical Department of the Wrocław University of Technology was built in the fifties of the 20th century. In its present spacial configuration, interior decoration and furnishing it does not fulfil basic compulsory conditions and norms in the range of safety and comfort of the users. Defects of the auditorium bound with ergonomics, fire protection, acoustics and also artistic and esthetic aspects, prejudge the necessity of carrying out general repairs. A general element of these activities is also the foreseeing, by the investor, of the widening of the auditorium's programme offer: from academic lectures to international symposia. Consequently, there exists the necessity of equipping the lecture-room with a multifunction projection-control cabin conforming to the needs of simultaneous translation. The authors of the Edwin Płażek auditorium transformation are: Andrzej Grudziński, Małgorzata Leszczyńska and Andrzej Sobolewski, from the Department of Architecture at the Wroclaw University of Technology. The following project postulates have been adopted: The introduction of a second evacuation route (exit) from the auditorium conforming with the obligatory norms and rules of the building law (halls which are destined to accomodate over 50 persons must have two evacuation exits). Correction of the auditorium's profile and widening of the rows, taking into consideration exigencies of the law as well as ergonomie needs. The auditorium must be equipped with a modern system of solid and esthetic seats with tip-up, individual pulpits. The project anticipates 229 places of higher standards. At present the auditorium holds 256 persons. Improvement of the acoustic conditions bound with lessening of the reverberations. The introduction of ventilation, and later, full air-conditioning of the auditorium. Replacement of the wiring system, the introduction of an independent illumination of passages. Equiping of the auditorium with a control desk which will enable the switching on of zonal illumination, control of blackouts and control of audiovisual equipment. Modernization of the auditorium's interior decoration, the replacement of windows at the first level, the building over of the second, lucarne level of windows, the fitting of mechanically controlled window roller shades. 9. The replacement of central heating radiators. The project also embraces the foyer leading to the auditorium which may be reached through a separate staircase, directly from the Wybrzeże Wyspiańskiego street. The disassembly of the existing packing-room is proposed as it impedes the access of daylight and blocks out an interesting view on to the Odra River, from the foyer. The cloak-room and sanitary accomodations servicing the auditorium will be located at lower lewels of stories and will be reached through the existing staircase.
