Quality is a key factor leading to business success, growth and enhanced competitive position. A construction firm must organize itself in such a way that human, administrative and technical factors affecting quality will be under control. There will be described in my contribution basic information concerning the quality management and assurance during the process of building planning and realization. Building quality assurance consists of several important steps and documents: contract review, planning of building realization, purchasing, selection of sub-contractors, project quality plans including inspection and test plans, control of monitoring and measuring devices, building quality evaluation etc. An effective Quality Management and Assurance System leads to client satisfaction, higher productivity and profitability, efficiency and increased competitiveness.
