Effective porosity and water, oil or gas saturation are usually calculated from resistivity logs. Measurement techniques quite frequently used in the past and also currently applied in Poland employ a combination of two normal and two lateral devices with different investigation radii. A computer program for quantitative interpretation of such set of classic resistivity logs was developed to obtain tine resitivities of formation, invaded zone and flushed zone. The interpretation process is automatic and continuous with a step of interpretation equal to the measurement step. The algorithm is based on minizing of special function F constructed using measured (e) and theoretical (teor) values of resistivity.
