This chapter contains a discussion of the value stream mapping concept. Shows the analyzed company, which is engaged in the production of fruits and vegetables preserves. As part of the research presented a SWOT analysis with graphical interpretation and presentation of strategic position, in which the establishment is located. It also presents the manufacturing process object of study - tomato concentrate depicted technologically and value stream map of the present state and the future state.

The chapter presents basic information about drinking water. Briefly water treatment processes have been characterized. We analyzed the water company. One of the water intakes of water treatment by the method of biological denitrification and its disinfection by ozonation, the pump station and treatment plant located in the province of Silesia. Process of water treatment for human consumption depicted technologically was presented. The identification of the problem of failure of water supply based on Ishikawa diagram was made. In the chapter the company operating in the plastic industry was presented. The car counter case to Fiat was the main subject. The production process of the research product depicted technologically was presented. Hierarchy of the nonconformities with use of Pareto-Lorenz diagram was made.

In the chapter a company involved in the production of aluminum window and door handles was presented. The main customers of the company are primarily companies which produce PCV joinery and wholesalers supplying these companies. One chosen product from the research company - a single-arm pin-lift window handle - was described and its production process depicted technologically. The chapter also includes SWOT analysis conducted in the research company and the value stream of the single-arm pin-lift window handle.
