Soft methods in the prediction and identification analysis of axially compressed R/C columns

Two problems are presented in the paper concerning axial loading of R/C columns: I) prediction of critical loads, II) identification of concrete strength. The problems were analyzed by two methods: A) Gaussian Processes Method, B) Advanced Back-Propagation Neural Network. The results of the numerical analysis are discussed with respect to numerical efficiency of the applied methods.

W oparciu o teorię procesów Markowa oraz delaminacyjną teorię procesów zużycia wyprowadzono zależności opisujące: proces zużywania, błąd pomiaru oraz propagację odchylenia od stanu początkowego. Porównanie z modelem matematycznym procesu zużycia wskazuje na identyczność obu metod w granicach błędu modelu matematycznego procesu zużycia [1]. Model matematyczny wykazuje zgodność z modelami opisanymi w pracach [2, 3].

Basing on the theory of Markow processes and delamination theory of wear processes one led out dependences circumscribing: wearing process, the error of the measurement and the propagation of the deviation from the start state. The comparison with the mathematical model of the wear process points on the identity both of methods within of the error of the mathematical model of the wear process [1]. The mathematical model shows the concordance with model [2, 3].
