Differential thermal analysis was used to determine the liquids curve in the Bi2O3-Sb2O3 binary oxide system for compositions from pure Sb2O3 up to 0.5 mole fraction of Bi2O3. These data taken together with the results of e.m.f. measurements carried out with the solid oxide galvanic cells yielded activities of Bi2O3 in liquid oxide solutions. The respective temperature-concentration dependencies for logarithms of the activity coefficients are given by equation (9) and (10). These data enabled the Gibbs free energy change of the reaction of formation of pure solid BiSbO4 phase to be estimated. This temperature dependence is valid in the temperature range from 923 to 1100 K.

Na podstawie wyników DTA wykreślono przebieg likwidusu w układzie podwójnym Bi2O3-Sb2O3 w zakresie składów XBi203 = 0,0-0,5. Przy wykorzystaniu powyższych danych i rezultatów pomiarów SEM ogniw galwanicznych ze stałym elektrolitem wyznaczono aktywności Bi2O3 w ciekłym roztworze tlenków Bi2O3-Sb2O3 i zmianę energii Gibbsa reakcji powstawania fazy stałej BiSO4. Zależności współczynnika aktywności od składu i temperatury dla tlenków są dane równaniami (9) i (10).
