The paper describes the algorithm for field oriented control of an asynchronous motor with a stator flux orientation. The stator flux and the torque are computed from phase voltages and currents. These computed signals are used as a feedback for the flux and torque controllers. This algorithm is tested by a laboratory experiment. The experimental drive is controlled by the digital signal processor Motorola DSP 56001.
