W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analizy numerycznej procesu topnienia materiału w dwóch modelach cieplnych. Założono, że w rozpatrywanych układach transport ciepła zachodzi wyłącznie mechanizmem przewodzenia. Obliczenia zrealizowano z wykorzystaniem metody entalpowej za pomocą programu ANSYS Fluent. Sprawdzono bilans energetyczny rozwiązania i wykazano prawność otrzymanych wyników.

The melting of the medium is a phase change process of the first type in which a substance transfers from solid to liquid state. Melting is associated with the absorption of phase transformation heat at a constant temperature, so it is an example of the problem, which is characterized by strong non-linearity. Practical implementation of calculations of issues in the field of phase transformations uses numerical methods. Numerical modeling of the melting process can be carried out either by the front tracking method or the enthalpy method. The article presents the results of numerical analysis of the melting process in two thermal models. The calculations were carried out using the enthalpy method using the ANSYS Fluent program.
