The problem of calculating the quality indicators of detection of side radiation signals from static images on the monitor screen by a specialized technical means of enemy intelligence is solved, which implements an asymptotically optimal compatible algorithm for detecting side radiation signals and estimating the duration of image immutability on the monitor screen. The reliability of the calculation results was confirmed by modeling detection processes in the Mathcad and Excel software environments.

W artykule rozwiązano problem obliczania wskaźników jakości wykrywania sygnałów promieniowania bocznego ze statycznych obrazów na ekranie monitora przez wyspecjalizowany techniczny środek rozpoznania wroga, który implementuje asymptotycznie optymalny wspólny algorytm wykrywania sygnałów promieniowania bocznego i szacowania czasu trwania stabilności obrazu na ekranie monitora. Wiarygodność wyników obliczeń została potwierdzona poprzez modelowanie procesów detekcji w środowisku oprogramowania Mathcad i Excel.

In this paper, the performance of an energy detector in cognitive radio, using different diversity combining techniques, is evaluated. Among many diversity combining techniques, maximal ratio combining (MRC) gives the best results but at the cost of the highest complexity. To design a simpler receiver, it is suggested to use less complex combining techniques, i.e. switched diversity, which provides one of the least complex solutions to combat fading. The paper analyzes two switched diversity schemes, switch examine combining (SEC), and switch examine combining with post examining selection (SECp). A closed form expression determining the probability of detection using MRC, SEC and SECp is derived for various numbers of branches. Detection performance with different diversity combining techniques is compared and the complexity trade-off is observed.

The objective of cognitive radio network is to enhance the wireless network spectrum utilization. In such a network, two types of users are enlisted, namely primary user (PU) and secondary user (SU). The PU can access any channel in case of its availability, but SU users have lower priority and can access a channel only when it is unused by PUs. The performance of such a network solely depends on two traffic parameters: probability of false alarm and probability of misdetection. In this paper the performance of such a network is analyzed based on two dimensional Markov chain including those parameters. The main contribution of this paper is to evaluate blocking probability and PU and SU throughput using the state transition chain instead of existing statistical analysis.

In this paper we present detector of faulty links in non-hierarchical telephone network with alternate call routing, as, for, example, in telephone networks of Electric Power Utility. The operation principle of the detector is traffic measurement on links. The main detector properties are determined: alarm detection, failure detection credibility and the detection time. The last two of three mentioned properties are inversely proportional.
