Endogenous timing in a vertically differentiated mixed duopoly with Cournot competition

This paper compares the equilibrium outcomes under simultaneous and sequential output setting in a mixed duopoly in a vertically differentiated market. When the timing of the output game is determined endogenously, it is shown that simultaneous play in the quality stage with the public firm acting as the high-quality producer and simultaneous play in the second period in the output stage turn out to be the unique subgame perfect Nash equilibrium, which contrasts with the endogenous timing in a purely private duopoly.

Przedsiębiorstwa w finansowaniu swojego rozwoju mogą wykorzystywać zarówno źródła zewnętrzne, jak i wewnętrzne. Przedsiębiorstwa słowackie, głównie małe i średnie, które często nie osiągają wystarczającego zysku, muszą sięgać po zewnętrzne źródła finansowania. Dostęp do tych zasobów w Słowacji jest utrudniony, ponieważ rynek kapitałowy nie funkcjonuje właściwie, a banki w udzielaniu kredytu tym przedsiębiorstwom są bardzo ostrożne, co przekłada się na wzrost kosztu tych źródeł finansowania. Powstaje zatem pytanie o potencjalne źródła finansowania rozwoju małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw w Słowacji i rolę państwa we wspomaganiu ich rozwoju. Poniższe opracowanie stanowi próbę odpowiedzi na te pytania.

To obtain this kind of sources, at present time in the Slovakia is difficult, because capital market does not work still and banks are very careful to give them credit.
