There are several causes of vibration of off set printing presses. Major are cyclic work of feeders and deliveries, gaps with mechanisms for fixing plate and blanket in cylinders of printing pair and inappropriate stress between those cylinders. All mentioned above causes increased exploitation of bearings, gears driving cylinders and other parts of the printing press. The consequences of vibration are also breaking of paper web and such artefacts as doubling and streaking on the prints. In this paper printing pair cylinders of lithographic printing press are described as a two-degree of freedom model. Solution of a system of differential equations, which describes this model shows influence of vibration of printing unit cylinders on the fluctuation of the ink film thickness on the prints (magnitude of streaking phenomenon).

Zaprezentowano budowę nowoczesnych zespołów drukujących maszyn fleksograficznych. Przedstawiono tendencje rozwoju konstrukcji zamkniętych komór raklowych i cylindrów rastrowych (anilox). Omówiono wpływ głównych parametrów eksploatacyjnych i konstrukcyjnych zespołu farbowego na ilość nanoszonej farby na podłoża drukowe. Przedstawiono wyposażenie nowego laboratorium poligraficznego w Instytucie Papiernictwa i Poligrafii Politechniki Łódzkiej. Opisano badania wykonywane w tym laboratorium.

The construction of the modern printing units of flexographic machines has been characterised. The tendencies of the enclosed chamber doctor blades and screen cylinders (anilox) development have been presented. The influence of the main exploitation and construction parameters of the inking unit on the ink volume transferred to the printing bases has been described. The equipment of the new printing laboratory in The Institute of Papermaking and Printing of the Technical University of Lodz has been introduced and the researches conducted in this laboratory have been described.
