Three deep mines have been excavating the copper ore deposit in south-west Poland for about fifty years. Rock mass tremors and their effects such as rock bursts pose the most dangerous hazard which increases with intensity and depth of exploitation. The permanent growth of seismicity of the deposit necessitated the implementation of preventive activities into mining technology. Temporary and long-term as well as active and passive methods were developed to reduce or eliminate the hazard among which group winning blasting seems to be one of the most successful preventive technique. The paper aimed to assess seismic activity and the effectiveness of active prevention as well as to verify the connection between induced seismicity of rock mass and elements of blasting works. To realize the goal, seismic activity, the number of blasted faces, the number of explosives, and blasting-induced seismicity were analyzed. Moreover, the linear correlation coefficients between the aforementioned parameters and characteristics were calculated. One mining division of the Polkowice-Sieroszowice copper ore mine was investigated over three years during a high rate of seismic hazard and intense exploitation.

Głównym zagrożeniem zawodowym dla wychowawców nauczania przedszkolnego jest kontakt z wydzielinami i wydalinami organizmów dzieci oraz bioaerozolem emitowanym przez nie w trakcie zabawy. Nauczyciele w przedszkolu w trakcie czynności zawodowych są narażeni na bezpośredni kontakt ze szkodliwymi czynnikami biologicznymi (bakteriami, wirusami, grzybami), które mogą być przyczyną wielu dolegliwości i chorób. W związku z tym kluczowym aspektem zapobiegania zagrożeniom zawodowym w tej grupie pracowników jest zarówno prowadzenie rzetelnej oceny ryzyka, jak również zastosowanie odpowiednich środków profilaktycznych.

Contact with body secretions and excretions of children as well as with bioaerosol emitted by them is the main occupational hazard for preschool teachers. During their professional activities, teachers can be exposed to direct contact with harmful biological agents (bacteria, viruses, fungi) that are responsible for numerous adverse health outcomes and diseases. Therefore, reliable risk assessment and the use of appropriate preventive measures are key aspects of occupational hazard prevention among workers in this group.

W artykule zestawiono kierunki działań niezbędne zdaniem autora dla poprawy bezpieczeństwa na jednopoziomowych skrzyżowaniach drogowo-kolejowych w Polsce. Poruszono kwestię niezbędnych prac legislacyjnych w zakresie ustaw i rozporządzeń regulujących zasady współodpowiedzialności i współfinansowania tych obiektów a także ich odpowiedniego wyposażenia technicznego. Omówiono trzy zasadnicze kierunki działań, obejmujące profilaktykę bezpieczeństwa, zabezpieczenie techniczne oraz penalizację niewłaściwych zachowań użytkowników przejazdów. Zwrócono uwagę na równie istotny czynnik wpływający na wskaźniki bezpieczeństwa transportu kolejowego, jakim obok zdarzeń na przejazdach są wypadki osób nielegalnie poruszających się w miejscach niedozwolonych na terenie kolejowym. Odniesiono się do przyczyn występowania zagrożeń i pokazano różne drogi dla osiągnięcia oczekiwanej poprawy stanu. Wskazano konieczność opracowania narodowego programu bezpieczeństwa dla przejazdów w Polsce oraz oceniono kilka kierunków rozwoju urządzeń technicznych do zabezpieczania przejazdów.

In the following paper there are some actions presented, which according to the author of this paper, need to be taken in order to improve the security at the level crossings in Poland. The issue which was discussed is connected with the essential legislative proceedings in the scope of all laws and orders regulating the principles of co-responsibility and co-financing of these objects and also with the suitable technical equipment. Three basic directions were discussed which include: security measures, technical security and also penalization of inappropriate behavior of level crossing users. The attention was paid also to the vital factor which influences the security rate. Apart from the events happening at the level crossings, it refers to the accidents of people who illegally move in the prohibited places in the railway area. There was a reference to the reasons of the threat occurrence and also there were many different ways shown how to improve the situation.
